to tow legally, 1st Enter the ship you wish to tow. 2nd Enter the pilot seat and unlock the ship Alt+K I believe 3nd Tow as normal, and no CS2 unlocking the ship and siting in the pilot seat make it act as your own ship if you do the Risky salvage HH mission , just do these same steps and tow it out of the area and it should complete the mission for you without salvaging it, it really is a disposal mission need to clear the area of the evidence
Oh crap o.O but Alt+k also is the button to release the spindles on the Hull A for example, so technically opening up the ship also unlocks it for others to remove stuff without any fear xD I gotta double check that bind

Thank you for taking the SRV for a spin and seeing where she sits at the minute. I've had her in my fleet for a year or so and am waiting patiently for CIG to return and fix the game loop up a bit again. Conceptually, this should be a really fun profession...though maybe not as a solo person, LOL. Cheers!
This ship is gonna super useful. With the amount of ships people leave around this thing is gonna make a lot of money. I own a Reclaimer. If I could feed this thing ships on the hour, I could just munch them. Never mind Scrapping. Munch them in seconds, clear up the server lag and make a decent amount of money in the process.
I think you’re right about it being easier in space, it’s meant to tow ships that have run out of fuel or salvage. That all usually happens in space. And usually for larger boats like in real life you’ll need more than one srv to pull the larger vessels.
Flying around finding things to salvage is a big part of the fun. If I just had to sit and salvage things getting dropped off in front of me I would quit. I do not care how efficient it is. I mainly only see the SRV as a ship to help heavy cargo ships leave or land on a planet, or a pirate ship for stealing parked ships.
The SRV is also the only tractor beam that will work at the mining outposts away from the cargo elevators. Great working with a Vulture or Reclaimer to clear out abandoned ships.
I feel like they should rework the SRVs tractor beam to work like the atlas tractor beam. That way we could probably end up towing ships through the jump gates. Find some juicy ships scattered and bring em back to stanton for safer salvage

I’ve been towing ships to salvage for a while now, but now you can’t quantum away, it’s a bit pointless. Also being able to salvage around stations now, I only tow to break in and disintegrate them.

That is strange, I've towed a polaris when they came out, maybe its a new change? Were you using nav mode on that tow? The SRV is my main ship, love moving ships about and then boarding them for goodies 😅 great video!
@Reds_Resort it was possibly in PTU for .3 tbh. Was when the polaris first came out. I will add that it was in space and i couldn't QT so as you say the value is questionable. One of the best things to do with the SRV is the unverified clean up missions, you just have to tow the ships a short distance and get paid.
