My Rivian R1T (ordered under the old pricing) is due sometime in the next few months: Adventure Package $70,000 Dual-Motor AWD Included Max battery pack $ 7,000 Limestone exterior color $1,500 21" Road wheel and tire Included Ocean Coast + Dark Ash Wood interior Included Tow Hooks Included Manual Tonneau Cover $800 Estimated price $79,300 Before the IRA became law I signed the “fixed purchase agreement” with Rivian so I think I can get the full $7500 tax credit by filing an amended 2022 return regardless of battery material sources. That would make my net price $71800. Yes, I know everyone will yell at me for blowing $7k on the max pack and I'll admit to that being more of an emotional issue than practical. I rationalize it because I believe it will help marginally for towing, both for reaching the next charger here in the mountain west and for faster charging at each stop because I'll be charging to a lower SOC to get the same number of miles added. I consider the Rivian to be the best compromise between range and efficiency. For example, it is a massive 24% more efficent than the new Chevy (78mpge vs 63 mpge).
I hope you’re happy with the your future truck, especially since you’re getting it at the old pricing! I’d still watch out for overheating while charging because pulling max power for longer is going to overheat it faster.
I’d rather have a pack that can change in 30 minutes and make more visits to a fast charger then have super capacity and max out time at the charging station.

I get my R1T Dual Motor Performance Max Pack in 2 weeks. Everyone wants max range. If ya want it pay for it. I’m getting mine for 79,500. Great deal…
The max pack is same physical size as the large pack. Only the chemistry is different to squeeze out the disappointing extra kWH
149 kWh gross according to car and driver for max pack.
I’d rather have a pack that can change in 30 minutes and make more visits to a fast charger then have super capacity and max out time at the charging station.
