Fort Pierce makes the most sense. Also, people forget how much Port St. Lucie residents would benefit as well. Over 300K people! Do the math brightline.
Its pretty obvious the reason Stuart was picked is that the rail line makes a sharp curve through it that forces the train to slow down to 25mph, so they wouldn't lose much time stopping there. Its not that Brightline wants to stop at Stuart, its that they might as well stop there.
Love ft Pierce they just have not solved the crime and poverty in the downtown area I was told not to drive around the east and northeast of the waterfront area
Build the the Train Station with a Hotel and let's move into the 21st Century or give it to Fort Pierce and let them get it done. Either way stop talking about it and take ACTION - enough already.
Good! It's stupid not to want a High(er) Speed Rail station in your community when the traffic is terrible and you want people to take alternatives like transit to lighten the load...
But the reason Stuart said no was because Brightine was asking the city and county to contribute their share of the funding first. Brightline said they wouldn't initially contribute to building the station. Supposedly, they would contribute their share later. That seems very convenient for Brightline, but kind of fishy, too.
We resident’s of STUART voted NO on the train station 🚉 we would welcome some common sense and have FT Pierce have this Brightline train station because they have the room and it’s a better location and the residents of Ft Pierce welcome this , STUART isn’t a good spot because it’s become to overdeveloped and overcrowded as well as our protected preservation land being destroyed for greedy land developers and city commissioners taking bribes even though they ran on slow growth , FT Pierce is the perfect place for the Train Station 🚉
@@pizzajona we don’t want a train station that nobody uses as well importing crime from out of town when they MISS the train back to wherever they came from , comprehend????

It should have gone to Ft.Perice to begin with. Choosing Stuart wasn't the right spot.
They probably chose Stuart because the trains already need to slow down for the 40mph curve instead of the 79-110 through Fort Pierce.
@@StefanWithTrains good point, never thought of that.
You can blame Rick Mast on that he got a lot of money to promote Stuart
Thank you for sharing ❤❤
Fort Pierce is a good option because of its loaction and there proposal is way better shocked they weren't picked in the first place.

Fort Pierce should have got it in the first place if it wasn't for Rick Mast getting a bunch of money to promote Stuart
They better have good security at a Ft. Pierce train station. The crime rate is pretty high.

Maybe the people of Ft Pierce should vote on it; after all their going to have to pay for it in taxes.

no it doesn't, the brightline is not a commuter train. It is to move tourists from the ports to shopping around the state
Who is going to pull 80 million dollars 💰 💲 out of their butt to pay for it 😂😂😂
Tax payers

You know Lauren Bobert is an idiot rigut
It splits in half if you remove the parking structure
Why isn't Brightline paying for at least half of the construction costs for building the station?
@@mrxman581 because this station is the result of a legal settlement between the city and the company

No the reason Stuart got it was all because of Rick Mast. He got a ton of money 2 promote Stuart getting it
