    Proper name for the musket rests is.....musket rests! Lovely job. I'm almost tempted to move away from 6mm and 2mm

    You make is look so easy. I'm getting there with your method. 15mm are painful to paint, but the final results are looking great.
    Super tutorial on another great range.

      I know what you mean by painful. The first strip it two is great, as the detail is just amazing, but en mass they can take a very long time if you want to do all that detail justice - I certainly understand those who use quicker methods.

    Just started doing this game. I then went to the computer to see if any one has done any painting guides. Low and behold I found your site. I've enjoyed watching your pike and then your cuirassier and then your artillery. Now I have seen your shotte. I hope to use your style to finish my army. Thank you for the ideas. You have done an amazing job of painting these delightful miniatures. Wish me luck Thanks.

    Stuart,if you looking for another regiment to look at ,then for Parliament ,I would recommend the Earl of Manchester's Foote .To give you ideas and research they have their own reenactment society .Its a double size regiment as well with one being red coats and green trim and the other green coats and red trim .They were also on the opposing side of your Newcastle Whitecoats at Marston Moor .

    Rattle can priming. I have found after months of trial and error that Tamiya fine primer and humbrol matt white primer work on the plasics from epic Napoleon sets. I strongly advise anyone primering by rattle can to cut a piece off the frame first if using any other primer rattle cans aand use to test the plastic reaction. Recently had the exact same melting of surface plastic on Vitrix products who advised me of these two primers having no reaction with their product. Stilll something is not right and advise all plastic modellers using rattle cans to prime to use a test piece first.

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s very interesting it’s happening with Victrix as well, thank you for sharing those products.

    lovely brush work , which red would you use for red coats ? and a yellow?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My go to is likely Contrast Blood Angels Red, yellow probably Contrast Nazdreg Yellow.

    The pikes looked amazing and also the muskets stand out.
    I hope to recreate at least half of the good impression when mine finally arrive.
    But I wonder, if zenital highlighting isn't a bit of overkill in this scale?
    I do see the advantage for let's say 28mm, but does it really manifest as an advantage for those tiny guys?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s really important if you’re base coating in Contrast/Speed Paint/Xpress Colour etc, but I wouldn’t if I was using standard paints.

  • @thatwargaming5459

    I kind of want to ask you something I know that in the 30 years war in English Civil War all the regimens look different so there’s no real universal paint. I know it comes with two different colours in the starter set so I was thinking of leaving them unpainted

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re designed that way so players that want to play without painting can, so if painting isn’t your thing I’d say go for it and start playing 🙂
