It's lunacy. The NFL is made up of all the best players from previous collegiate teams condensed to 32 NFL teams. The NFL is the highest level of competition. Caleb hasn't competed at that level, to compare him to NFL quarterbacks before he competes at their level is complete madness. I think it's only for ratings and it's honestly genius.

Not all of us are fooled by his passing numbers. Most passes are thrown around the line of scrimmage and his “avengers” make plays for him.

Palmer lead the league that year (.323) and finished 2nd in MVP voting, splitting the 2 remaining votes with Brady.
Hurts is having himself a Cam like season, except the Eagles didn't have a historically soft schedule like the 2015 Panthers did. His stats aren't great but he clutches out wins for a 10-1 team and he's my favorite for MVP. But coming back to adj. epa/play and looking at the top 4 tiers of QBs - 1. Purdy (.352), 2. Dak (.269), 3. Allen (.232), 4. Mahomes (.211), 5. Tua (.203), 7. Hurts (.172), 8. Stroud (.170), 9. The Prince (.135), 10. Herbert (.133), 11. Goff (.130), ... 13. Russ (.102), ... 16. Lamar (.096), 17. Stafford (.090), ... 29. Kyler (-0.68). If Hurts falls off in his final games where voters start side-eyeing his stats instead of being sold on "QB Winz", then it's gotta be either Purdy or a non-QB winning MVP.

I truly don’t know what Nicks criteria is for quarterback play. But according to Kurt Warner, CJ Stroud and Brock Purdy are consistently the best 2 quarterbacks in the league on tape. Their tape is better than everyone else’s so far this year.
Dan Orlovsky, former NFL quarterback, has shown how Brock has changed the way the 49ers play offense. They’re not a dink and dunk team anymore.
So what are they seeing that Nick refuses to see?

Yes and no, draft position doesn’t indicate how good of a player you will be. Nico and Dell have ascended as very good receivers. They are dogs.

Lawrence is literally the most winning QB over the last 20 games. Ironically the QB's with the best stats are Purdy, Sam Howell, Tua, Dak and Stroud.

Dak has similar stats to Purdy, but he hasn’t beat a team over .500, and he lost to Purdy 42-10. How is he several tiers higher and a MVP candidate? The stacked team argument doesn’t make sense when Purdy has the 29th ranked O-Line in pass protection.
