You know it's funny, I heard you say "I don't really care for magic mods", and then "I don't really care for tech mods" and I was like "WHAT!? THOSE ARE THE ONLY TWO TYPES OF MOD!" Just goes to show what types of modpack I usually go for lol.
Lmaooo I love the hardcore survival mods and the environmental/mob ones the most. I remember every Minecraft update, I would load up my Xbox 360 and spawn in all the new mobs bc it was the coolest part of the game to me when I was little
@@Cosmxnautic Hm. Maybe check out Rebirth of the Night? Summarized something like "it makes you feel like your first night again," It has some really tight progression from the 12.2 era but is still getting updates. Not necessarily Blood and Bones or RLcraft but certainly inspired from them and tries to address lack of scaling in the world with game stages (eg, nether, minibosses spawning new variants of basic mobs). It's "Vanilla Plus" but the plus is an aspect of survival, combat, or progression and adds to it. For example, it adds a skeleton that dynamically changes whether it uses a bow or sword based on the distance. I will admit it's somewhat rough getting into, like spreading the instant kill bs from RLcraft and spreading it out among every game system, and leaves automation or magical capabilities SUPER analog, but their discord + guidebook is informative enough now where it's not as much of an issue. I've had a hard time getting people good enough at the game to play with me (and idk about ur crew) but maybe this might intrigue you since this is my pick for "le hidden gem" since it seems to get passed up in modern discussion.
Create Chronicles has been a blast so far. I am not in psuedo create mode in 3 days of playing. I am automating, I am exploring, I am occasionally dying. Modpack has been a blast for me and my group so far!
Create Chronicles is criminally underrated, I've been playing through it as my most recent pack. You actually shouted me out in your vid! That little starter shack was what I used to craft my first couple hundred rotational mechanisms if I could recommend another pack that I think you could cover/try out, look into multiblock madness 2. The first pack was a really successful 1.12 cult classic for ppl that love gated modpacks. It's still actively being developed much like chronicles is
I actually did come across Multiblock Madness while looking for packs for this video! It doesn’t fit the criteria for an underrated pack since I only do ones under 5k downloads, but they have another abandoned modpack I was considering for his video. Looked promising, so I’m sad they abandoned it
Maybe not fantasy, but Tom's Cobblemon I feel is an underrated modpack and would recommend people giving it a try. Has custom and personalized integration from the modpack author and you can feel the author putting their effort in it.
Just started playing this pack, and it's pretty fun. Anything with create snd ars is good in my book. Ad astra honestly dorsnt have a lot going on yet, but the rockets and space stations are neat enough to justify playing through it.
Create mod fans have two sides: Automation lovers, those who play the mod for the unique contraptions and builds And those who install Create:Big Cannons and other addons that turn the mod from a steampunk style builds to a full war crime simulator
Just rewatched that section and realized I definitely forgot to set my key binds when I did that 😭 I use Q as my F5 key because otherwise it’s too far on my keyboard
no way im actually so surprised to see The Obelia Modpack on this list, Iam an admin in their discord and a player on their smp. Also Amazing Video it looks very good!
Haha yeah I saw the quest files and was like whooaaaa okay that’s way harder than I pictured. But it’s 100% worth it. Automatically ups the quality of the modpack by several points imo
Bisect’s gallery of packs is usually only modpacks that are decently popular/have a good amount of downloads. Packs I review in these videos would most likely require manual installation
when I finish tweaking crafting and playtest would you review my pack it will be in Alpha 1.0.0 stage because it is an idea I have been fiddling with for a long while
Sadly have to agree. I suppose after so many years of mods and packs it’s hard to do something that stands out nowadays. It’s why i don’t really do this series much anymore - nothing stands out to me :(

Yuuup it's surprisingly very balanced.
what's performance like? it looks really interesting but I'm scared my potato pc will explode if I run it

7:08 “If you have friends and want to play” hurt so bad 😔
This was helpful, my only issue with modpacks is they feel confusing and overwhelming once i start getting into the mods.
Such an underrated TH-camr, I just found your channel from this video and its very good content! Continue doing what you love!
