This format is just so great. Most whiskey channels will give you the 10-minute history of the distillery and process of making the whiskey, but sometimes I simply want to hear why I’d want to buy a bottle, how to drink it, and what other whiskies are like it. The rest of your channel does a great job of filling in those other gaps. If this series isn’t already in a playlist or place in your site to see the star ratings and drinking preference (neat, ice, cocktail), it would be awesome to keep a running list.
I like how you guys did, “if you guys like this, try this!” Gives us different options to go try that we might not have thought of. Please do more of that!!
as an islay man i don't usually get speyside but aberlour is amazing despite the sweetness. Also their tasting in their distillery is amazing (and pretty cheap too!)
Hey, fellow MBs and folks at Crowded Barrel! I'm an American in Hong Kong who has been journeying down the Whiskey Rabbit Hole since Christmas 2021. I've just put in my order for some awesome merch from your store and I cannot wait to receive it. I also referenced this video when deciding between the Abelour A'Bunadh versus getting a Glenlivet Nadurra cask, and I am happy to have picked the Abelour. Just as an aside for all of you living in the USA, if you're ever worrying about the prices of things like.. the above-mentioned Abelour 12, don't fret too much. Average prices in Hong Kong tend to double US prices for most whiskey. Example: Laprhoaig Lore cost me $130. Buffalo Trace costs ~$60. Eagle Rare ~$110. Ardbeg Corryvreckhan ~$130. The list goes on... As much as possible, gratitude should be felt for if you can find good drams at decent prices. :) Looking forward to the next episode! (PS: I don't use the standard Social Medias, so I'd love an email address or something to send some photos of drams being enjoyed at some cool sights in Hong Kong) ALSO: TRY - Glenlivet IPA Cask Experimental Series.
That barrel was CLEARLY Blessed by THE CHAAAD. How about something Bonded for the net whiskey? Like an Evan Williams. OH! Or even better Do Rittenhouse Rye! As always, a big thanks to you all and a Slainte Mhath to all you Bastards
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the "Arran 10" which was top Scotch of 2021 by that Ralfy recognized site where folks voted via the Internet... Keep in mind the votes are from the general public, not necessarily experienced whisky taste experts. (I'll try to find the title of that whiskey community rating site.) Cheers!
Also by the way I see a review of Arran 10 from The Whisky Vault channel: reviewed 3 years ago by Daniel and Rex (I almost wrote Rex and Daniel... wow, major typo!)
I tried Aberlour 12 and liked it. I would definitely go back to it, but I'm still hunting for a decent replacement for Highland Park Einar. Sherried Scotches are my faves, for sure, but I like just a touch of smoke. That's the hard part.
It's not exactly easy to get outside of NC, but Defiant Single Malt and Defiant Rye are legitimately good enough that if I were restricted to one product for the rest of my life, either one of them I would take without a second thought. No other whiskey even comes close for their flavor profile. I don't know what they are doing to get such a strong walnut profile but I LOVE it. #TRY Defiant
I bought 3 bottles of Mossburn Island and I was wondering if anyone here has heard of it because I am in love with Mossburn now.. I ordered a few cases of Mossburn's selection and can't wait for the entire line up so I can compare scotches..
I have recently picked up a Hooten Young Batch 1 and a Saint Cloud 7yr Single Barrel - I haven’t seen much of anything in the way of reviews on these and would love to get your thoughts, plus I think they are both pretty unique and worth a try!
We need a burial place and monument for that barrel. It was the Spartan of barrels and it’s strength could not be contained. I wish to honor that barrel on my next visit.
I have to call out the people who put "ardbeg" in there. I've had quite a bit of Aberlour, some 12, but mostly A'Bunahd, and can't say that I've ever caught any of the peatiness of anything Ardbeg puts out. BTW, does a bit of water still count as neat? Speaking of Ardbeg, the next whiskey should be Ardbeg Uigeadail (another of my favorites).
I seem to be the only one who saw this, but @ 4:09 Brianna turns around in celebration, where she very easily at least has a peripheral view of the flavor cloud. No way she would have said Ardbeg otherwise, it usually has a way smaller font.
It would be so cool to have all of the clouds posted to the website for future reference. I don't think anywhere does that. You could be digital pioneers!!!
Casg Annamh is my favourite from Aberlour, snagged a bottle of Batch 001 about four years ago. No opportunity to try any of the new batches since then sadly :\
"Fruity" and "fruit" flavor is the same to me. To me it means the "brighter" fruit flavors like, apricot, melons, pickled cherries, raspberry, lemon/lime, orange, etc. Unless you specify "dark" for fruit, then its the other "common" "bright" fruit flavors. My opinion but Mooch got it just as right.
I have a question that I think you can answer what flavors do you get out of different levels of toast or char. That is something I can't find. I know depending on your toast level you get different flavors but I don't know anything more then that
when you think happy hour, drink aberlour... is apparently how the host of tours at the distillery frames how to pronounce aberlour. delicious though cheers

Brianna missed a perfect opportunity to say “you gotta check yourself before you Rex yourself”
I like how you guys did, “if you guys like this, try this!” Gives us different options to go try that we might not have thought of. Please do more of that!!
I would love to see them do this with Green Spot just to see if other people get the coconut note that Daniel gets out of it. #try
"She is correct. You have wrecked yourself". Deadpan Dan with the quote of the day.
Did not expect only 3.2 stars. Personally it´s my fav within the more accessible whiskey category (incl. price). Great vid as always. Cheers guys
Yep
One of my favorites but I think for some people it's a little too sweet and not peated.
Aberlour 12 is one of my mainstays on my shelf, affordable and delicious
So, Rex' veto actually lead to Brianna getting even more points? That's gotta sting.
30 seconds in and I'm already laughing.
Love these videos.
Highland Park 12 needs to be on this 'show'.
as an islay man i don't usually get speyside but aberlour is amazing despite the sweetness. Also their tasting in their distillery is amazing (and pretty cheap too!)
Aberlour is what got me into scotch. I'm glad you got around to it.
Wild Turkey 101, Knob Creek, Highland Park, Talisker, Oban, Stagg Jr.
I miss Emma and hope she's doing well at Balcones. But I'm glad Brianna is a regular. She is a total hoot! ❤
I freaking adore this format guys. If all Tribe videos were this way, it would be okay with me
For under the 35 euro's in the netherlands this is one of my absolute favorites!
Arberlour 12…great gateway whisky! 👍
Ideas.. Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 years old single malt.. or Balvenie Doublewood 12 years old, if the 14 is difficult to get a hold on..
Shout out to the Cooper who built that barrel. True craftsmanship to handle that kind of abuse before breaking.

Another great Whiskey Tribe video. Y’all always make me laugh. One Scotch I’d recommend is a Glencadam 13 or the 15 if you’re feeling fancy.
That barrel was CLEARLY Blessed by THE CHAAAD. How about something Bonded for the net whiskey? Like an Evan Williams. OH! Or even better Do Rittenhouse Rye! As always, a big thanks to you all and a Slainte Mhath to all you Bastards
The Great Aberlour 12yr has been my fav go to for a while now. It's a wonderful drink :)

A good Arran single cask is my favourite and I usually prefer heavily smokey Ilays.
Online Scotch Whisky Awards OSWAs
God, Rex is such a dork with the intros and bits. I love it.
Man that intro with the bottle - love it!
10:50 That was the best compliment sandwich off ALL TIME!
Please do Maker's Mark Cask Strength
The whisky palm fart nosing method is going to be revolutionary to the industry.
Glendronach 12 is fantastic... thanks Daniel for the recommendation.
She has learned from both worlds and will one day rule the realms of the expert and the mooch.
I tried Aberlour 12 and liked it. I would definitely go back to it, but I'm still hunting for a decent replacement for Highland Park Einar. Sherried Scotches are my faves, for sure, but I like just a touch of smoke. That's the hard part.
Laphroaig 10
Port Charlotte 10
Oban 14 would be a good one to do
#try Old Forester 1910

He didn't wreck himself, he REXED himself!
The highball's an underrated drink, especially as an accompaniment to a meal.
I bought 3 bottles of Mossburn Island and I was wondering if anyone here has heard of it because I am in love with Mossburn now.. I ordered a few cases of Mossburn's selection and can't wait for the entire line up so I can compare scotches..
I love these videos, a bit of game element plus an alternative whiskey works fantastically
The Dalmore Cigar Malt next
I just got this the other week, and it was definitely one of the better ones for me. 4/5 stars.
timestamp 1:05 - brianna's look at Rex....friggin priceless!!!! 🤣
Happy to have Briana here. Not so happy for Rex and Dan, of course. :)))
Great episode! I second the trying a rye. #try Dad's Hat.

gives a whole new meaning to cask strength
My vote is for you to taste Old Forester 1910 (or 1920, but not those sad sack recipes from the 1800’s).
I love these so much! But for the next one, have you done Rampur double cask?
My vote is for Glenlivet illicit stills 12 yr
Brianna has been a great addition to the channel.
Aberlour 12 Unchillfiltered with 48%volume !!
Knob Creek small batch 9 year
I like this channel, they realy have fun
#try Michters bourbon
We need a burial place and monument for that barrel. It was the Spartan of barrels and it’s strength could not be contained. I wish to honor that barrel on my next visit.
I would like to see you do a video for Andalusia Revenant Oak Peated Single Malt. I recently tried it and I am in love.
I'm of the belief that Brianna was never a novice/noob to whisky since she joined the boys at the tribe.
You should send the end of this video to the Cooperage that made that barrel!
How about Peat Monster or Port Charlotte
isnt ginger beer (or a strong ginger ale) standard for highballs now?
I have to call out the people who put "ardbeg" in there. #try Laphroaig (quarter cask)
Proof that Guile's theme goes with everything.
i guess this way of determining what whisky comes next makes more sense but i really liked the wheel tho
Well over the top on production.
2:17 some of them flavors😂
Fever dream energy heavy on this one. Moar!!!!
Gotta do Lagavulin 16
It would be so cool to have all of the clouds posted to the website for future reference. I don't think anywhere does that. You could be digital pioneers!!!
Love the format and content!
Orchard House, compass box
Really enjoyed this episode!
Was NOT ready or expecting the trippy Rex bit...
But that's not to say I didn't laugh extremely hard and rewind to watch it again... 😂
Is it weird that I am 24 years old been watching your videos for years now. And have nevet tried whiskey. Like at all
These videos just keep getting better, like a well aged whiskey...
You should try Coalition Barrel Proof. I'm a noob and it's pretty complex, I'd like to see what flavors you guys got out of it.
Casg Annamh is my favourite from Aberlour, snagged a bottle of Batch 001 about four years ago. No opportunity to try any of the new batches since then sadly :\

great to see brianna learning her stuff as a mixologist 😁👍 go brianna go 👍😁
#try Hibiki Harmony and/or Yamazaki 12
#try Macallan 25 singel malt or sherry oak 25 they are my all time best. ive never tried a whiskey that makes me all warm and comfy as they do.
Do it with Talisker 10, auchentosan 12, or old pulteney 12
I have a question that I think you can answer what flavors do you get out of different levels of toast or char. That is something I can't find. I know depending on your toast level you get different flavors but I don't know anything more then that
do a rye whiskey next
Yes!
Is that coin you used to start the challege available at your store, or will it be available soon?
I think they need call veto before knowing the score. Cheers MBs.
I love Aberlour 12. It's kind of dangerous. I could get very drunk if I'm not careful.
when you think happy hour, drink aberlour... is apparently how the host of tours at the distillery frames how to pronounce aberlour. delicious though cheers
Hey Dan and Rex,how can I buy a challenge coin for my glencairn? I live in Brazil!
Classic Laddie
Keep it close to the heart, give Balcones a crowd vote!
Hope you will finally get your hands on Mortlach, guys, it's awesome! #try
Top Quality B roll.
Please make the Rex hairflip slow mo, and a recurring thing.
The cult is pleased at this. Thank you, Briana.
Loch Lomond 18 year please
I’d love to see you guys #TRY Old Forester 1910.
