Good to see you again, Tim! Congrats on the career change. I got my MS in secondary ed last year (as a 50 year-old) & I’m in the classroom now teaching AFJROTC. I love it! I agree about the F-91. When I was in the Air Force & traveling a lot, I had an F-91 that lived in my toiletries bag as my travel alarm clock. I took the straps off it so it took up less room. It worked really well filling that role.
These days, I'm wearing an f91w for daily use (I have like 20 variants). But I'm often in the mood for a big ol G like the 5610 or even the GPR-B1000, which is surprisingly balanced and comfortable. Hella big, motivates me to pump iron to match its grandeur. -former digital-hater to Casio lover
Good to see you posting again! Wishing you all the best in your career change and happy thanksgiving! Casio MRW-200H is the best valued beater yet good looking, distinctive hands, for digital analogue watch. The only weakness is the poor-almost-non-existence lume. Big sky Casio W-736H is super comfy for me under 6.5 inch wrist. Recently scored a used one at about USD 12 that’s come with yellow bezel. The back light is reminiscent to G-Shock GD350 negative display. Black big sky is more legible at night. Out of curiosity I also bought the Casio TRT-110H, grey color, same function as Casio W-736H but slightly different displays and it has mug-resistant features. Tough buttons just like the old G-Shock Mudman. Digits are a tad smaller with the circular indicator like its big brother GD350. Bluish hue back light. Still the black Bigsky still win in better legibility at light button.
GBD-200 has vibration, a MIP display and quite a low profile for a G-Shock. It is my work watch for around a year now and I love it. I have all of its "smart" features turned off (flight mode ON) cause I don't care about them, but I do care about battery life. Check the GBD-300 as well, it has the same module, display and functions as the -200 AFAIK, but in a more round shaped case.
Here’s how I categorize my 60+ Casios : Big, bigger, biggest (I’m a skinny Casio addict with 6” wrist). I’d like to be ‘given away’ the one with red/crimson dial !
There is a 35.00 Casio that says vibration alarm where most of them say 10 year battery and it's almost always available on Amazon although it isn't a G-Shock it does have the body style of one
atomic uses an AM band to sync up... so. Keep that in mind. in that AM hates electronic noise from other stuff... such as your wifi router or PC for instance.
Long live the MIDS! My itty-bitty wrist is perfect for the smalls, but after a long time wearing G-SHOCK squares, the smalls feel too small. Unlike you, I love the DW290. I just think it looks cool (I have three of them😂). Ditto on the F-91w. Don’t like it. It’s a myth, so a must-have. But it ends there. That protrek is just super cool. Great pieces Tim. Also I hope everything turns out fine with your family situation (saw the previous video). Thanks for this video!
Thank you for the well wishes...I had to delete the original video...didn't need to share that much. I will address the issue again in a later video with more attention to details. Have a great week!
@@Realidealgear👍🏻Good luck in your new career, although I’ll miss the lawn service shots and the blue collar aspect of the videos. I agree about the PRW6600, only mine came with the green fabric band. Love mine. The softest band I’ve ever owned is the one that came on my PRG-650Y. The inner part glows in the dark, also.
I was wearing a Hroudland tv dial quartz chronograph. I did a review on this watch over. Year ago and it was crap. Only watch I’ve gave a ‘do not recommend.’ This one, awesome! I returned the GW9400.
I started with G-Shocks but ended up liking the Casio "originals" better. F-91W the a158 & a168 just make more sense. Damn G-shocks don't even wake me up because that 200m protection muffles the alarm sound.
I agree with the Mission Impossible Casio. I bought one a few months ago due to everyone raving about it. Well I got it and to be honest its a £35 watch that feels like a £15 watch. It needs to go.
MY GWM500A has problems syncing in SoCal, even by the window at times facing east, but the Casio Lineage has not problems anywhere, so is my 5610u, but is a bit finicky around electrical lamps.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I hope all the changes in your life become lasting positive ones. I see you adhere to the Mad Watch Collector’s rules for collecting watches. “Casios don’t count as part of my collection…”😅. As for the giveaway, since I like the red one better, I say give away the red one! Ha! Either one would be cool. Thanks and off to Part 2!
Red is up 1-0. Changes are positive ones...humility has a way of getting me back in the Bible, prayer, and trusting in God first. This time, I'm committed to accepting the humility as part of life and not just for circumstances. Have a great week.
@@manzahalem8845 yes but they transmit the timing information through radio signals, not satellites. There are few radio towers like this in the world. But they don’t cover the whole globe.
What a cool Casio collection! Yeah the Dw290 is cool but not for me either. Its a bit of an odd boy. The F91w is also a nice watch but there is just so much better out there. Not a fan of smartwatches. Their drawbacks out way their usefulness. The big sky is a sweet piece but then again so is the Gd-350! The Ae1500 is probably the ultimate visual digital watch with that huge central time display. I like the Moon and the tide but I think Casio did it better on the G7900. The magpie is a sweet watch! You get a bigger version of it. Its called the MRW210. Ooh that blue and red dial seems awesome! Love the Protrek. Its purpose built! Jim is going to love that Mudman! It looks awesome man! You might be right. That one might have been faulty. I dont know if there is any other ones that vibrate. Give away the blue and keep the red! Its more unique! Hope you are having a great weekend. Take care and God bless my friend.
There was a run on them and I have no idea how many were used by terrorists. I do know that they were used by terrorists and it was a popular timer. Thanks for watching.
I know! It’s like the little green light sucks the fat cells out me! Hope you’re doing well! We should connect. I had an experience Saturday morning that was Spirit led. Never experienced one like that since my conversion.

I like that idea for the F91...I might have to do just that! have a great week.

Casios are a great vice! Have a great weekend
man, you gotta get into more of the analog side of gshock. Way more advanced with so many gears ran on a motherboard encased in 20 bars
How many G-Shocks can a guy have?? ...I know...not enough!
Happy to see the uploads returning Tim!
It’s been a long time coming.

All great points! The Big Sky is awesome!
Great run down of the best in Casio range in one video, very useful
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it and found it useful. Your suggestions are helpful for determining future videos.
I really thought I had way too many watches 🤣🤣🤣, Tim you are the best🤣🤣🤣
I try to lead by example!
Today i just bought casio E1200 ,F91w, A168 ❤❤❤❤

The GBD 300 arrive the day I published this video and I really like the catch for all the reasons you’ve described. Thanks for sharing.
Love the MW610. Wow. Never seen those before.
It has a beautiful dial! Wonderful texturing and great handset.
I love the AE - 1500 too. Can tell the time with or without my glasses/ or across the room for that matter.
Great video. Cheers! 🍻

The W736 is a great option for vibrate alert.

Good to know.
Wear what you want, when you want. Who cares what anyone else thinks.
That’s the beginning of watch contentment. Thanks for sharing.
The GD-350 is the best big G-shock for small wristed people (6.5 in) because the strap inserts allow a comfortable fit.
Very true!
Gbd200 and gbx100 have the vibration feature with a lower profile, and mip display.
Good points. It's a solid no on the GBD200. I've seen too many issues with the sensors. The 100....I've got the GBDH2000 so its hard to get the 100.
Yours and jims yt is watch gold!

Thanks for video Tim
You are very welcome, have a great Sunday! God is good! Psalm 62
@ thanks for the encouragement 👍 I’m off teaching Jonah to the Sunday School kids today , I need a rock today 😅
Wish the rounder version of the GD350 (the GD400) was quite so overtly macho (bullbars being the big thing on that).

GD-350 Blackout 🖤👌
Right on.
If legibility is important don't the Timex Ironman watches have easier to read displays?
They do. Far and away.
Not a duro in sight?! Crazy!
I know! I do have the MTD 1074 which is close..I like it a bit more.
What is that watch on your wrist now?
Hruodland TV Dial (Omega homage)
Is it satellites or radio towers that the sync is happening with?
Radio towers.
Atomic clock in Denver assuming you’re in the United States.
@@manzahalem8845 yes but they transmit the timing information through radio signals, not satellites. There are few radio towers like this in the world. But they don’t cover the whole globe.
I errantly thought it was satellite but it's a radio signal.

Yep

what do the numbers mean mason

It hurts to look at Casio prices in Europe. So much better deals in the USA. Why oh why
I have heard that repeatedly. Baffling.

SO TRUE!! I do need to get some color added. This might be my biggest bias...'Casios should be black.'
