    I grow 8 different types of passion fruits and the purple passion fruits is my oldest vine that i propagated so many vines from that,,i have experimented so many ways to re grow passion fruits from seeds to air layering and cuttings.The cuttings get rooted without root hormones and i also put some cuttings into a glass of water and change or added water for two months and they rooted and then i planted them.I grew my Lilikoi passion vines from seeds planting the seeds in feb and transplanted them outside in spring.all my passion fruits grow like crazy.i planted them all on our fences all around our property.i dry leaves and flowers for tea and making tincture.our bees love the flowers.and i make so many recipes with the fruits that nobody ever tried.

    Glad I saw this message. My vine had the dead/ dry rotten look and
    I thought I had killed it with to much fertilizer. I had 3 vines growing and two were like that but one is still good. I live in Florida and they did very well I did in fact have them about 3 yrs. I also followed you cloning process so I do have more growing.It’s early Nov. so not expecting much now but looking forward to April. Thanks for all the info.!,

    Occasionally planting seed seems like a healthy way to maintain the crop, to save it from becoming vegetative & preserve its ability to overcome disease.

    • @IVOrganic
      @IVOrganic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Alyx, I agree 110%. An example is the Fuerte (Spanish for ‘strong’) avocado that was the only seedling among hundreds that survived a very cold winter; and subsequently was propagated globally for its good taste BUT more importantly hardiness. Similarly, seedlings all have varying strengths & weaknesses upon which growers judge: taste, yields, constancy, disease resistance, etc, etc. thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

      Hello Superay! Looks like your vine is also nearing its final years-- be sure to begin propagating some of it to ensure that you continue to enjoy more for many, many more years to come. Also, do you do anything special to protect your passion fruit vine from NJ winters-- just curious? Thank you! Charles 🌱👍

    I just wondering why my passion fruit did not become fruits, but produced flowers only.

      May not have been pollinated or maybe it needed another one to pollinate each other 🤔 I’m not sure if passionfruit needs and male and female plant.
