Your Brandi does seem more careless compared to how I play her though so I can see her not minding his true nature too much. Especially now that she's "chosen" him over lil Beau in a way. I also like getting her with Cyd Roseland but then ending it after he becomes a werewolf lol poor gal. Darren/John is normally who I'd "ideally" pair her with in the end.
Nina heavily suspects that Gordon might be the burglar who broke into their condo (although she's not 100% sure, she knows nothing about Gordon's job and who knows, maybe it was Russ Bear on that photo), but she sympathises Brandi and will keep her doubts to herself. Dina made her way to the upper class and doesn't really care about her past or Brandi anymore. As for my version of Brandi, yes, you've got it right: she not only "doesn't mind Gordon's true nature", but she knows exactly what he's doing for living and she also knows that Dustin is going the same path. Of course, it's not being discussed, no "Mum, I've stolen 3 thick wallets today", everyone refers to Dustin and Gordon's activities as "work". I believe being addicts both Brandi and Skip were in a constant contact with the criminal world, so crime was (and still is) a mondain thing for them. Beau's updated bio (which I forgot to read), however, implies that he doesn't really understand how Dustin earns his money. He'll have to discover it one day.
I finally caught up with this series. I like how you keep these sim's stories interesting. Poor Beau.
