- In this video I will show you how to use Microsoft Power Automate to get files from SharePoint and move them to AWS S3.
Will be using AWS Transfer server (SFTP) that will be connected to S3 bucket for storage.
This is a no code option to get files from SharePoint and move it to AWS S3 bucket.

Great Video, Thank you!
Thanks!
Loved this
Glad you like it.
thank you sir
You're welcome
Lu, your video is wonderful! We automation users are immensely happy with this sharing of information... But is there a way to resolve the sharing of keys in the PowerAutomate flow? This greatly harms corporate security...
Great content! just keep going

Hi Lu, great video. I was wondering if there is any chance to do this process, but instead of just moving the files, can you move the folders too, along with the files, so you can keep the original folder structure from SharePoint?
Iam very delighted with your youtube videos,
Iam trying sending file from sharepoint to AWS s3 bucket using powerautomate tool,I have followed instructions as it is described in your video.
Iam able to send files through winscp sever through AWS transfer family to S3 bucket.
But when iam using powerautomate tool getting following error
"You have a broken connection for 'Create file'. Pleasefix connection. Alternately, you can select another valid connection or create a new connection from connections tab in the action pane."
Thanks for the tutorial, can u please guide how to create a connection in power automate to connect vpc hosted server
Thanks, GREAT tutorial! Do you know of any way to only transfer NEW files from SharePoint Doc Library to S3? When new files are added to the DocLib in SP and the flow runs, it copies over all files again. Any way to prevent this? Thanks again!
I see AWS Transfer has an hourly charge which makes it pricey. Would Power Automate REST API to AWS API Gateway which fronts an S3 bucket work?

First you are!
email sent fam! thankyou
I have 500 Gigz of data in my sharepoint library that needs to be transferred to s3 . Does this method supports to do it? If does, what are the things i need to take into consideration?
Thanks!
Hi @alekya did you got this working?
@@brajgopal108 yeo
@@alekhyadavuluri5491 can we connect. I am getting error as bad gateway
rewatching again .
Awesome contact Iamlu. I was looking for something like that. One question, how would you change it so it only sends to S3 files that are either new or have been modified? I want to use this as my backup solution. Thank you in advance your videos rock!
This can be done via Power Automate. Instead of getting all finds it will be triggered to get new or modified files. If needed I can make a video over this.
@@codingwithlu a video on how to do that would be amazing! I’m sure it’d help a lot of people. Keep it up the amazing work!
@@codingwithlu Yes, Please make a video on it!! Much needed!!
Hi Sir,
How can i include folder as well it only copies files . I need to copy exact same so file structure is maintaind.
noice
awesome content! would it be a similar process if i were to connect microsoft Lists to S3? thanks
Yes so there is a way in Power Automate to get SharePoint list and export list as CSV or Excel and then save that file to S3 bucket.
Is it possible to do the opposite? Can Power Automate read an S3 bucket and transform it into a file in SharePoint?

HI there, I got an error as "Test connection failed. Details: BadGateway". But when I looked in connections, It says 'connected'. Furthermore, in the flow checker it says Folder path, file name , file content is required as yours did, but now it does not show up to fill in those. Any idea?
Can you trying connection to SFTP using WinSCP and confirm that the connection was successfully? If so may need to redo the connection in Power Automate
@@codingwithlu Yup It was sorted. Seems like it was an issue with authentication. Thanks anyways! :)
can we use an EC2 instance for sFTP instead of AWS Transfer Family?
So the answer is yes. I have a method that is very easy and it uses S3 for storage for SFTP. I will make video soon.
Hi, Thank you for these videos! I am getting stuck when I am creating the Flow and establishing connection to the SFTP. I get a "Server HMAC algorithm not found..." error. I followed your steps exactly from both videos and am able to successfully connect to my S3 bucket using WinSCP, but get this error on the Power Automate connection. My private key starts with the -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY----- header. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong here?
Did you find any solution on this yet?
@@amrithat8746 I have the same problem.... I am getting stuck yet!
Following everything step by step but getting "Test connection failed. Details: The response is not in a JSON format." in SFTP-SSH. How can I fix this issue?
I'm assuming you are getting this error in Power Automate. If you try to connect to SFTP via WinSCP or FileZilla do you get an error?
@@codingwithlu thank you so much for the quick reply. Not sure if was the Host Server address or the SSH key but tried again and it works 🤝
How about AWS S3 to SharePoint? Download from s3 bucket and automatic uploaded in Sharepoint Folder
Yeah I will make a video over this. Expect it to be out soon!
@@codingwithlu hi! great job, and awesome tutorial. I have a question: that functionality - I mean from s3 to sharepoint - also will be provided by Power Automate?
@@codingwithlu are you still releasing this? Really need help
Hi,
I was able to connect to the SFTP server using WinSCP. However when I try to connect using the power automate flow, I am getting the following error:
'Test connection failed. Details: Access denied clientRequestId: 2e478d4a-fe20-2775-e472-a7bb6c91d50b'.
can you please help me out
Also, check your root folder path, if it isn't filled in you will get the access denied message.
Can you do it AWS S3 to SharePoint?
New subscribers here. done email
Bad Gateway 🥲
You are receiving a bad gateway error?
Yes🥲
Hi! Same issue. I solved it by generating SSH like ssh-keygen -m PEM . SSH must be BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY
Is it possible to do the opposite? Can Power Automate read an S3 bucket and transform it into a file in SharePoint?
