I think access points solve the issue of the unique global url that today buckets have, despite using the account id in the url/uri which at fist might seem restrictive this feature gives more flexibility by allowing better control from several points of view. It would be really nice in a near feature that aws removes the restriction currently has of the global unique bucket name, so I would not to use some weird prefix to name my buckets, and with this remove the global s3 url as it would be no more needed thanks to this new feature. Congrats and thanks to the team for this.
