I found a friend who committed suicide before police even investigated they were asking me if I had anything to do with it. I was pissed at them because I just experienced trauma of seeing my best friend dead after shooting himself. Eventually is was ruled a suicide but I can see how easy it would be for police to just blame the first person who finds someone dead. Who is going to end up finding dead people family, or friends. Last would be police who calls police every time a friend doesn't get back to you in a few days.
I guess I'm lucky I wasn't blamed for my stepfather's suicide. I found him dead at home. I was only 14 and he did leave a suicide note. That kind of trauma is horrific.

Shall we say then 8 to one or even 10 to one? If Italy has a problem with too many innocent people in jail the US has the one of way too many guilty people locked up. Innocent people have been executed, killed in the USA. every few month I hear stories of innocent people freed after spending 4 decades or more in prison.
At least in Europe sentences are not as harsh, if someone is wrongfully convicted can be out and have a good portion of their life to live as a free person.

I found a friend who committed suicide before police even investigated they were asking me if I had anything to do with it. I was pissed at them because I just experienced trauma of seeing my best friend dead after shooting himself. Eventually is was ruled a suicide but I can see how easy it would be for police to just blame the first person who finds someone dead. Who is going to end up finding dead people family, or friends. Last would be police who calls police every time a friend doesn't get back to you in a few days.
I guess I'm lucky I wasn't blamed for my stepfather's suicide. I found him dead at home. I was only 14 and he did leave a suicide note. That kind of trauma is horrific.
Italy has alot of innocent people inside their prisons, and Italian police are not doing proper investigation before sentencing. Most times, they force you to accept crime you didn't commit for the reduction of fake sentences.

If what you say is true, that in Italy innocent people are admitting crimes that they did not do, I can only deduce that the 5 to 1 statistical rate of criminals in the US is even higher. Shall we say then 8 to one or even 10 to one?
If Italy has a problem with too many innocent people in jail the US has the one of way too many guilty people locked up.

Amanda's life has been living torture. Her life matters too, she even came close to ending it. The past headlines have had a lot of influence on the way she is viewed. I really dug around on this, I genuinely trust this woman. I understand how she felt and I can sense the real mental distress she was in. Like no one could understand what she was going through, no matter how much she tried to explain and keep it together emotionally. My heart aches for both Meredith and Amanda. Amanda is coping with the aftermath of terror now and channeling that into criminal justice reform. We should have her back.
