The actual chopper exfil is one of the things that really makes DMZ and it’s arguably way less casual than getting to a trigger and pressing a button. I’d like to see more ways to physically exfil and extract in all these games. Like a getaway car that you can drive off the map or a dark alley that has a door that’s normally locked.

This game is pretty awesome, maps feel the way they should, almost always having to watch ur back. Weapon customization is pretty great for average gamers, it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t have a bunch of unnecessary additions. Gunplay is pretty awesome too, guns aren’t insane on the recoil aspect, with the gun customization being the way it is you can make a solid gun to your appeal. Like what’s the healing process, how the bags work, etc. The only extraction shooter I’ve played is DMZ, so the comparisons to Tarkov, I don’t understand. I’m not sure if anyone else is in the same boat, maybe something your viewers would value as we all dread when DMZ gets shutdown. Just a suggestion, thanks for all the content!
I'm finding that I really want killcams and a report system after playing against out of region players and hackers yesterday. That feature, among many others, would sure help!
Only extraction shooter I've gotten to play is DMZ so i don't have that gear fear mentality, yet. Might download a mobile extraction shooter. Delta Force looks like so much fun. I need to get either a gaming laptop or PS5 so I can play this when it comes out
As an OG Cod gamer and also a tarkov gamer, when I heard about DMZ I was excited. It’s most definitely one of the worst modes I’ve played in any game ever, they dropped the ball on that garbage
it looks very promising, I'm one of those Tarkov players that eventually got annoyed just enough to quit. I love the complexity, I hate how cumbersome it is. Everything requires so many inputs, then wait 5+minutes to load into a match and you get one tapped by a bot from a bush from 40m away with a shotgun that hit you in the face with one of the pellets.
i remember the day i said to my friend, imagine they make tarkov but without the bs and cod movement, that would be a dream. he laughed and said dream on. and here we are today. this game is a dream
Looking forward to the console (PS5) beta to see if I like the play of this game. Watched a vid on BLOPS 6 and not sure I’ll be picking that up so this could scratch my shooter itch.
I am excited, because I tried to get into Tarkov, but I'm just not able to or willing to put in 1000+ hours to learn everything and get good. I also didn't like dmz because it was too objective focused and sweaty, so the Delta Force Hawk Ops extraction mode is perfect for me who wants to play casually.
I played some but not a lot and my complaints are few but slightly different. I honestly don't like the different types of ammo. To me its like anit-armor rounds in DMZ because if you are not running the best of the best you are just gonna lose fights that would have been won. Second is time to heal. I just think it could be more simple for the casual player. And last is no proximity chat. I just think it is a game changing feature that made DMZ so much fun to play. All in all I think its a fun game and I'm excited to see what changes they make when they finish the alpha test.
I think the only thing that I’m concerned with or having a hard time understanding is how the back pack system will work with console/ controller players. Mouse and keyboard seems like it would be simple but how tenuous is it going to be flipping through all the items and placing them where you want. Will it take a controller player 2 minutes to loot a bag where mouse and key board it takes 30 seconds. Really want to understand how that mechanic will work but other than that this looks like a great game. I do agree with the comment around live exfils though. Love that aspect of DMZ
It's really great.. as long as I have good armour and ammo. Without it, aka a scav run, is hit and miss. The ttk might need tweaking but honestly I haven't had this much of an adrenaline rush from a game in awhile. There's so much to discover in each map, learning all the loot spots and secrets. Also the footsteps in this game is perfect. I can 100% pinpoint the direction where someone is. I am/was super keen on Grayzone, it's a more slower pace and I like the complexity of it but it has a long way to go regarding how hard the game is to play (one shot headshots by bush wookie AI).
Armor durability needs work tho and more life counts every time a player fully goes dead they health should be lowered 90/90 to 80/80 to 70/70 and so on every time they get picked up after going fully down
Hey Phixate, been watching you since the start of DMZ. Although I stopped playing it (since Ashika came out) I still watch your videos. Great content dude, you're very articulate. Just wondering, face reveal when?
I have my issues with the extraction mode. I find that the weird mix between dedicated and casual just leaves me with a bad taste. DMZ while casual, had enough depth with upgrade systems, multiple bosses, as well as points of interest that I could either go in and just help others and casually play, and other days I can go in, focus on my upgrades, my missions, etc. Delta Force tries to scratch that itch with the combat being similar but having the slower loot systems just feels strange. Because you can buy most of your loot, bartering doesn't have as much value, whereas there were barter stations in dmz. While dmz was casual, it didn't cut corners where it mattered.
do you miss the race to the chopper and the battle at the final exfil chopper, the sniping? I watched you game and very much got a different feel than dmz. Not totally obviously. but the vehicles in dmz and large map made the gamespace feel huge. This feels much smaller. I don't detect the adrenaline of battling for final exfil. This is just watchign not playing but it has a different feel. I'm not sure if its' for me but i'll give it at try. I played solo stealth mostly so maybe the missions will be good and less pvp focused gameplay.
One map is a decent size. the smaller map is about size of COD Ashika. I think there will be about 5 maps, hopefully some are large. I heard vehicles will come in later, probably on larger maps. You do feel high tension in this when running to extraction with good loot and players not far behind, and you run out of stamina 🤢
@@derred723 you can sometimes have battles. there is a count down timer at the exfils, but I didn't see a 'final' exfil at the moment, always got out just before final countdown.
They should have an armor system but the ammo system seems pay to win. But I guess the expectation is that in confidential Mode everyone is equal except in skill. So not sure how I feel about it. Would be cool to have fewer medical items, it’s unnecessary to force every item into multiple tiers. Like just have 1 or 2 , small Merlot and medkit, keep it simple
I played a bit today with Steam's built in controller support. Certainly not as polished as in game native support but if you get creative with mapping, you can get it to play pretty good.
I find it really funny how differently the game is received - for you it's an extraction shooter, for me and all my friends it's a Battlefield alternative. To be honest, I played two rounds of the extraction mode and immediately thought "Ok, I'll never play that again". The other mode, on the other hand, totally picked me up, especially because it's been so long since I've had a good Battlefield.
'scape from Tarkov also seems to be the mostpowerful exploiter/cheater/hacker/botter plague from day one. Anything changed? This kind of games have always had this problem and only the very serious developers could ever make them work.
Good time of day. Is this your gameplay? If so, can you tell me how to get such a weapon skin? I just don't play extraction mode and I don't know where there is or what.) Thank you in advance for the answer.
I’ve been enjoying it a lot, however I cannot say if it will be good or not. When it releases and the mcirotransactions are realized .. will depend on the verdict.. also, being free to play, I’m very concerned about cheaters
I’m seriously torn. The game itself for what we’ve played is very much a Chinese asset flip for bf2042 and DMZ smashed together with EFT. It has some good concepts broken by letting you bring in operators with special skills. Having a recon op with a recon arrow they can shoot every 40s is broken
I'm actually worried about the ammo rarity system they have and the balancing risk they posses. You have two sides of the coin whereas underperforming weapons can benefit with increased time to kill with higher quality ammo BUT better weapons paired with higher quality ammo just obliterates the competition.
I like it… plus it has the conquest mode so it’s good. I think people really need to get out of that dmz mindset because it’s polluting their vision. Casual and Milsim don’t mix. I’m team Milsim and prefer a better gaming experience.
I really wish someone would say My dishonesty opinion of….. it’s always my honest opinion which just make me feel like it’s not even though it probably is 😂
What i realy hope is that this game trigers someone to bring DMZ to life again. I must say, i will play this game if i have no more choice but is not near to be casual player friendly. Way to complex , another thing is when will drop the streamers will destroy new players for playing the game already some much time ahead.
Love it to play no xbox x :D. Hopefully this will take away from tarkov all the crybabies that day any new feature is too realistic, allowing bsg to make the game they promised :)
This is literally the most polished alpha to release to this day on the extraction shooter genre and its far from clunky. May be your internet or ur system because for me it runs smooth as butter zero clunky looting
I can say with experience in almost every extraction shooter ever released, this is the smoothest looting system of them all... with the one exception of DMZ. However, DMZ was only "smooth" because it was barebones basic and so feature light that most players didn't really engage with anything more than the bare essentials of armor, ammo, and backpacks... which themselves were linear upgrades without any nuance or choices to be made. DFE has a lot of QoL features that most other games have yet to implement 5+ years after release. -Unobtrusive item highlighting. -Fast pickup of items without ever looking at an inventory UI, as well as quick discarding and swapping of items in UI, all with single button presses. -Automatic organization, including rotating of items to fit open horizontal/vertical spaces. -Elimination of tedious manual tasks such as magazine management and repacking ammo into mags, checking ammo count or type in the gun, etc. -Streamlined delivery of relevant information such as item value, rarity, purpose, usage, and capabilities. -Streamlined hotkeys for common tasks (you can swap between available ammo types with holding 'R', use and switch between meds with a single button press) without needing to use the inventory screen. I don't want to be insulting, but if you find this system clunky then you've obviously not played an extraction shooter other than DMZ... which is (as much as I enjoyed it) the most basic and barely qualifying expression in the genre. On the other end of the spectrum, Tarkov players are absolutely gushing about how much easier and luxurious the loot management experience is in this game. We've been asking for these features for at least half a decade.
It will be interesting to see what they are going to do to make money from this game. becuase it can't all be free, something will need to give. they can do a battlepass that gives you guns...but what if you die on the field, you lose it. maybe the can do items like tickets that guarantee that if you die you keep your loot. So even if someone takes it, you still keep a copy of your loot.
anyone else semi concerned that tencent owns not just the game but the anti cheat and we're giving kernel level access on our PCs to a chinese company who are involved in the belt and road initiative?
the loot system looks slow. i'll have to see. actually so far the whole game looks slower paced than DMZ. Let's Go... launch this for console!!! that being said i paid for 15 DMZ "pay to win ops" so pay to win for casual players is a thing i like.
Really feels like a spiritual successor to DMZ for me and perfectly scratches that itch. I would even go as far and say DMZ inspired some aspects of the game. For me, it's the perfect mix between casual and hardcore. DMZ, for me, is a fun shooter with some extraction elements sprinkled on top. As you say, aside from stocking up on RGLs there really isn't any any incentive to loot certain items aside from some minor ingame crafting or the missions that reward you with "perks" like starting with a self res. Every other extraction shooter out there feels like the complete opposite. Complicated and deep weapon, armor and health mechanics and systems for the sake of "realism". Power to anyone who likes that but if stand 10m away from an enemy and miss 30 of 30 shots because I used some funky ammo type or because the weapon RNG recoil and bloom says "fu, you're not hitting shit today" I'm not really having fun.
You can't put "player economy" and "arena breakout" in the same sentence, unless you're saying "arena breakout ruined the player economy by selling currency"
some are trying already. but they learn there lesson when your team wipes them out right away. you can hear them approaching quite easily and get in position.
Tarkov is too frustrating and hard to play. I play Tarkov for 2 years and I always wanted a more casual extraction game. I tried DMZ and bored the hell out of it. Arena Breakout is still in closed beta so I can’t play it too but this game is fresh and great.
My only regret is everyone is going to have so much knowledge about the game when it is being released, and me including every other random scrub will be fucked from the beginning.
With all respect to you but I think that acceptable high tier gear to newbies is not good. I play arena breakout and that is a problem there. You can encounter tier 6 armour people there on most basic maps. Also because the game is free some may create a new account just to spend all the money on one loadout.

@@Michael-dl2cf i could only watch a little. Was there any battle between teams for the final exfil?
@@derred723 you can sometimes have battles. there is a count down timer at the exfils, but I didn't see a 'final' exfil at the moment, always got out just before final countdown.
You should add delta force "alpha" to the title.
But hope to have a beta to add console before releasing fully so I can decide if I want to spend time on it.
They'll probably do the same thing they doing on PC and mobile to console run it in China and then depending on that feedback give a release for us
They should have an armor system but the ammo system seems pay to win. But I guess the expectation is that in confidential
Mode everyone is equal except in skill. So not sure how I feel about it. Would be cool to have fewer medical items, it’s unnecessary to force every item into multiple tiers. Like just have 1 or 2 , small Merlot and medkit, keep it simple
Once it has controller support I'm in.
@OldPanther agreed. I played it on MnK to get a feel for the game, but I prefer to play from my couch with a controller
Do you know when is it gonna be playable on console?
@@menta1case182 no one does
@@menta1case182 I hear it's 6 months after the full release for PC
I played a bit today with Steam's built in controller support. Certainly not as polished as in game native support but if you get creative with mapping, you can get it to play pretty good.
If you get a car exfil, it should be cheap and ppl could potentially snipe you thru the window 😂 for balance purposes
Where does GZW fit on your scale?
'scape from Tarkov also seems to be the mostpowerful exploiter/cheater/hacker/botter plague from day one. Anything changed?
This kind of games have always had this problem and only the very serious developers could ever make them work.
Good time of day. Is this your gameplay? If so, can you tell me how to get such a weapon skin? I just don't play extraction mode and I don't know where there is or what.) Thank you in advance for the answer.
i think they might give a safebox to people that pay for the battle pass, but then again they say no P2W...
I’ve been enjoying it a lot, however I cannot say if it will be good or not. When it releases and the mcirotransactions are realized .. will depend on the verdict.. also, being free to play, I’m very concerned about cheaters
The devs say there will be no pay to win microtransactions. It will be for skins and campaign only
@@hanzanitizer heard all of that before. It’s also Tencent, they’re pretty greedy
@@is370 we can hold them to they word the game they said it clearly out they own mouth they are 100% against pay to win in the Q&A video
@@is370 so how is pubg mobile pay to win? It's all cosmetics and also done by tencent
I like doing zero to hero runs, I hate gear fear.
I'm actually worried about the ammo rarity system they have and the balancing risk they posses. You have two sides of the coin whereas underperforming weapons can benefit with increased time to kill with higher quality ammo BUT better weapons paired with higher quality ammo just obliterates the competition.
that's were using your abilities to your advantage comes in
The game is very balanced ttk is good because it gives solos a chance to win 1v3s
@@Lilquan2004Ask DMZ players how they are doing with their special ammo upgrade paired with a shotgun
bro if they start selling currency for the auction house we're cooked.
I like it… plus it has the conquest mode so it’s good. I think people really need to get out of that dmz mindset because it’s polluting their vision. Casual and Milsim don’t mix. I’m team Milsim and prefer a better gaming experience.
Try Lost Light it's not too bad either.
💀 that sht is 100% pay to win
To me it looks slow with a clunky over complicated looting system, which I think will not work well on console.
You never know until you try it expecting the looting to like DayZ
This is literally the most polished alpha to release to this day on the extraction shooter genre and its far from clunky. May be your internet or ur system because for me it runs smooth as butter zero clunky looting
More easy to loot than tarkov😂😂😂
If seems you suffer from a phixation on the extraction modes!
More players on map will f... it all up, then its PVP chad heaven again.
the loot system looks slow. i'll have to see. actually so far the whole game looks slower paced than DMZ. Let's Go... launch this for console!!!
that being said i paid for 15 DMZ "pay to win ops" so pay to win for casual players is a thing i like.
They posted to Twitter, saying no pay to win mechanics
And in the Q&A video on TH-cam I'm holding them to they word
I just hope this F2P extraction shooter doesn't end up like how The Cycle did :/
Really feels like a spiritual successor to DMZ for me and perfectly scratches that itch.
Why do you say its now free to play on all platforms? You can only play this test on pc right now right?
hey dude, maybe you could use timestamps to improve the quality of your videos, and make it easier for your audience to watch something they want to
You can't put "player economy" and "arena breakout" in the same sentence, unless you're saying "arena breakout ruined the player economy by selling currency"
How long before the sweats ruin the experience and spawn push, exfil camp is the question
That's what I'm most worried about. I just want a fun experience. I don't want to have to sweat every game because some people have no lives.
some are trying already. but they learn there lesson when your team wipes them out right away. you can hear them approaching quite easily and get in position.
That's were your abilities come in handy and the audio is really accurate so you can hear very good
Fully fleshed out is a stretch
I can’t get it to launch 😭
When are they releasing the actual game?
Seeing how good the game is playing in alpha stage in 2-3 months or in December at latest
When is it releasing to ps ?
Tarkov is too frustrating and hard to play. I play Tarkov for 2 years and I always wanted a more casual extraction game. I tried DMZ and bored the hell out of it. Arena Breakout is still in closed beta so I can’t play it too but this game is fresh and great.
Arena Breakout Infinite came out today in Early Access for everyone. Download from their website
So crossplay and console is now open?
The chinese spyware that gets uploaded with every game download is also free
It's not on console yet....
My only regret is everyone is going to have so much knowledge about the game when it is being released, and me including every other random scrub will be fucked from the beginning.
Will it have a tdm mode?
Does it play better than dmz? And what about the battlefield mode can it compete?
A lot of people like it more than DMZ and a lot of people if not all have said the BF mode is better than 2042
@@Lilquan2004facts… it is better.
you left out gray zone warfare as part of comparison
I purposedully only put the bookends, middle, and where Delta Force fit in that
@@Phixate Grayzone is sorta its own thing as well, like an outlier to the genre IMO so it wouldn't fit in the graph anyways.
GZW has nothing in comparison to Delta force
With all respect to you but I think that acceptable high tier gear to newbies is not good. I play arena breakout and that is a problem there. You can encounter tier 6 armour people there on most basic maps. Also because the game is free some may create a new account just to spend all the money on one loadout.
Do you know the release date of the game?
