- Taking Children Hiking up Pendle Hill in Lancashire - 1827 ft !
Can young children climb Pendle Hill ? Absolutely; stay until the end to find out! In my latest video, I take my children to hike to the summit of one of my favourite local hills - Pendle! Tom & Emilie did brilliantly and they enjoyed every step up and onto the summit! It was a blisteringly hot day too, so extra kudos to them on their very first ascent of this iconic landmark!
We finished the day with an obligatory drink in the Pendle Inn at the village of Barley!
I always ask that people try and get their little ones 'up off and away from the screens' and into the outdoors - we really need to get the next generation out there, enjoying what we do and learning to respect our Great Outdoors - ATB, Chris

We used to walk up there straight from Nelson as kids (only 20 years ago), fair trek but a full day out!

Pendle Hill doesn’t look that challenging but having climbed the “Steps of Doom” , it certainly gets the sweat glands into overdrive. Tom and Emily did great. Making memories is what it’s all about. ATB Chris!

You know when I went to Pendle hill there was another way down we didn't have to go down the stairs there was another pathway that was a bit flatter

Quality time and experience with the kid's 😉 well done Chris they are a credit to you 👍 I take my 9 year old granddaughter to the climbing wall on Friday night's. It pains me to know that some kids are happy in the bedroom on a laptop or a device.....that was classed as punishment when I was a kid / solitary confinement 🤔
