- Lake District Summer Adventure and their FIRST EVER MOUNTAIN
I head off to the Lake District National Park with the mini adventurers for a summer break. We stayed at White Cross Bay holiday park, on the shores of Lake Windermere. We were lucky enough to have a hot tub in our lodge and we had lots of fun using the facilities on site.
We enjoyed trips out to Windermere and Ambleside and the children climbed their very first mountain - I am very proud of them.
Whilst in Keswick - we bumped into Gareth and Zoe and had a nice chat and made plans for a future video - I hope you enjoy our Lake District adventure as much as we did !

As an outdoors enthusiast but more importantly a Dad who has been denied access to his two little girls by their parental alienating mum, despite two court orders giving us a 50/50 share, my heart is really warmed by this lovely video of you and your fabulous children ❤ Wonderful!

Good job Chris, your film reminds me of when We took our two daughters (then aged 6 & 9 yrs) up Haystacks. It was their first mountain and I can remember another walker having a go at me for being so irresponsible for bringing young children up a mountain. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed and I’m glad to report that our girls are now in their 20s and still love walking theLake District fells. Keep up the good work Chris and I hope your kids are now hooked.

Looks great , my daughter is around your kids age , did some of the same places in July when we stayed at South lakes park. Even though I stay in the Highlands I love the Lake District, it’s similar scenery but has way more facilities.

It was chaos in terms of traffic / parking, but good fun all the same!
Superb mate, I absolutely can’t wait to take my boy on adventures like that, we generally go to the lakes for our hols, but soon as he’s big enough I’ll be taking him up em all, red screes first for sure as it’s one of my faves, the first ever solo wild camp I did so it’s special for me. I used to make mint cake, cough candy and other sweets mainly hard boil, it used to blow your head off, while it was being prepared, the winter warmers were a lot more intense though, A nice day out on the mountain there, They did well, mine would be winging half way up.

Looks like a fab time had by all! I used to love adventures like this, unfortunately my two won't partake anymore 😞. I may get them to the lodge and hot tub, but not up any mountains!
Haha, yes - the hot tub is definitely the easier proposition!

Climbing rocks, panicking dad time and I remember parking where you parked and climbed Ravens Crag with my two sons, were were almost the identical ages as your two, brought back a flood of good memories. It was over 25 years later I got my youngest son up to Red Screes and real impressive that your two got up there, a few scrambley bits on the way up and down. Good to see the views cleared for you eventually on the summit, one of the best views in the Northern Fells. Dentists all over the country will be rubbing their hands at your recommendation of Kendal Mint Cake 😂. Nice day to finish off the holiday and as you say - good memories made and filmed, cheers Alan

I feel bad, I parked at the inn last night for a wildcamp up there, I took one look at the scramble and the wind and chickend out and went up at ravens edge instead 😂
