I don't know what it says about me, but I thought the exact same thing as Rhett regarding Link's embarrassing Thanksgiving weekend incident. The psychological trauma of wrapping his arms around his unsuspecting sleeping mother seems like it would have been much higher than from wetting his bed. However, I found a couple of things about this conversation very endearing - First, either Christy or Jessie respected Link's dignity enough not to pass Link's bedwetting along to Rhett, and then Rhett, upon actually finding out, not busting Link's balls too much over it and even sharing his own little adult bedwetting story that I think made Link actually feel better about himself. Rhett always gets a lot of crap for giving Link a bad time, but it's mostly good hearted and often for the comedy of it all, but moments like this reveal the reality of their 40 year friendship and the compassion Rhett actually has for Link. I enjoy the banter and the poking fun of, but in all honesty, I watch Ear Biscuits for moments like these.

As a nurse, if you wet the bed again, please consider being checked for seizures. This is very common for folks who have seizures in their sleep and are unaware of it.
Would you wake up in the middle of peeing like Link did though? I'd think if you had a seizure you'd just wake up at some point afterwards and notice the bed it wet or stained or smells of urine, but you wouldn't be able to wake up in the middle of peeing to run and finish it in the bathroom.

This morning I fell back to sleep listening, and had a dream that I was on some group trip in a cabin with them, and they kept talking while everyone was trying to sleep. It's pretty common for me. I did pee myself in my sleep once, but I didn't wake up going, and it was more of a large leak.
Every time I pee in a dream, I have a moment mid dream-peeing where my mind realizes I'm asleep, and I get so worried that I'm actually peeing the bed that I wake up. I've only peed the bed a couple times as an adult, but they both happened this way. The other times I'm worried I peed the bed, and then wake up realizing I just really need to pee.

I think it’s a fairly “normal” occurrence, as in I think it happens to a lot more people than you might think. I brush twice a day regularly, but flossing was pretty minimal, until I switched to floss picks and don't have to awkwardly fumble with a piece of string in the back of my mouth. Now I floss twice a day as well and my dental visits go more smoothly. It is a very good habit to have.

I work in sleep medicine, it happens A LOT to a lot of people! Could be an underlying sleep disorder or just some deep sleep! I've done it before as an adult....totally dream related and it was just one time too!
Advice from a firefighter, if you wanna see if a Carbon Monoxide meter is working then stick it next to a car's exhaust pipe! Also make sure you start the meter when outside in clear air. But if you are ever concerned about CO poisoning definitely call EMS/911!
I'm surprised the trail that Link uses, most wilderness parks, state parks and county parks don't allow dogs off leash. Its also just in general quite dangerous to have a small dog off leash. There was a guy this past week who accidentally hit his unleashed dog while biking and dislocated his shoulder.

Bed wetting can also be hereditary and in most cases it is I was a bedwetter until I was 12 years old and it was mortifying. But then I learned that one of my parents had that issue too as a young person. So as well as the emotional aspect, there is also the physical aspect.
My husband and all of his brothers wet the bed semi regularly into their teens. They are all really deep sleepers so I guess they just never woke up with the feeling of needing to pee. He hasn’t done it in years, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he did. He is a REALLY heavy sleeper. Plus now he works shift work so his sleep schedule is always a mess.
I know I need to wake up to pee when I'm dreaming, and have found a toilet, and am peeing but not feeling the relief. Either I'm peeing too long, or can't keep the stream going, or am interrupted by something. At that point I can usually make the connection that I need to get up. And sometimes, I barely even have to pee, but my bedwetter brain is freaking out over a tiny bit of pee in the bladder 😅

I dream about trying to find a bathroom and all of the different stalls in every building I can look in has only dirty nasty or broken toilets or there is a line of people also looking for a toilet and I let them go ahead of me. Also not having a door on the stall, etc. I wake from those dreams with an instant urge to run to the bathroom. I am always amazed how my body knows how to hold it for so long, but the instant I am awake, I need to pee. Freaks me out kinda.

I've peed the bed a few times in my adult life and once I remember I was dreaming i was in a desert trying to pee in a pot or something. I woke up and left to go to the bathroom and when I came back he was totally naked, the blankets were all kicked off the bed, and the sheets were soaked. Flossing every nigh is definitely not excessive, especially if you are prone to build up/cavities but it’s a good practice in general

Honestly Rhett is such a good friend for not giving Link shit for peeing the bed as a grown man. My friend would never let me live it down. 😂 She still gives me shit for having a dream where I had to pee and peed in a random box in my house, in my dream not in real life, and immediately woke up to only rush to the bathroom. And it's been like 10+ years since I had that dream.
Urinitating in your dreams only to wake up realizing you havent wet the bed (and still needing to go) is absolutely real.

When I start dreaming that I REALLY need to pee and can't find a place, every "toilet" tuns into a hole or a sink - I had better wake up. Even more so when I feel the extreme relief of peeing in the dream.

Is that the same thing as steel wool? Because that’s pretty common everywhere, but chainmail is much looser so it won’t scratch the vessel. Steel wool can cause scratches.

I totally get what Rhett was saying. I never had an issue with wetting the bed as a kid, but I've probably wet the bed a handful of times in my entire life. And every time it happened I woke up from a dream where I was peeing to find I'd actually peed in real life.

Wow I've never looked into it before but I have the exact same experience as Rhett where I dream about peeing . I'll pee numerous times in the dream (hear the niagara falls sound and everything) and wake up worried that this time I definitely wet the bed but nope the bladder is still full. I guess no-one really has unique experiences.

I dream about trying to find a bathroom and all of the different stalls in every building I can look in has only dirty nasty or broken toilets or there is a line of people also looking for a toilet and I let them go ahead of me. Also not having a door on the stall, etc. I wake from those dreams with an instant urge to run to the bathroom. I am always amazed how my body knows how to hold it for so long, but the instant I am awake, I need to pee. Freaks me out kinda.
I don’t think I’ve actually pee’d myself as an adult but I’ve definitely had the dreams Rhett was describing where you have to pee in the dream and in the dream you go to the bathroom and then still feel like you have to pee and go to the bathroom in your dream again until I wake up and really have to go
yep, I have had a urinal appear at random spots (like in a closet) in a dream and wake up so fast to get up and pee. I'm 40 and only wet the bed once in my life and I was an adult.

I know everyone's talking about the pee, but that's super common and whatever to me. Now, Link thinking most people don't floss everyday though... I thought most did/do. I agree with Rhett; I absolutely love flossing and brushing. My mouth feels so nice after. 🤷♀️😁🙌🏻

Pretty much every time I’ve had to pee really bad while sleeping, I either wake up and REALLY have to pee, or my body/brain forces me to have an intense and abrupt wet dream, which then also results in me waking up, have to change my pants and then REALLY have to pee😅🥹🥲💀
I've peed the bed a few times in my adult life and once I remember I was dreaming i was in a desert trying to pee in a pot or something. Whenever I wake up from a dream about needing to pee I feel lucky when I haven't actually gone pee 😂
Also, I had an ex who wet the bed once. I woke up and left to go to the bathroom and when I came back he was totally naked, the blankets were all kicked off the bed, and the sheets were soaked. He was definitely asleep cause I had to shake him awake to ask wtf had happened between me leaving to go to the bathroom and coming back. He said he didn't remember. It was a weird night.
I wet my bed nightly until I was 22. I am still scared of doing it, especially when I dream I have to pee, but I've been lucky to have not had it happen for 16 years now!

To be honest I wet the bed when I was 26 but it was because I used to drink a whole pot of sleepy time tea at night to help me fall asleep I'd drink it by 9pm then wake up around like 1 or 2 am having to pee and I'd pee a little in the bed yeah it was crazy but I had to go so badly I guess haha never happened again since those 3 days lol
