Always replace the whole valve cover. Not just the gasket. Cover is brittle plastic over and if it wasn’t cracked anywhere when you took it out, it will be when it goes back in. Also worth it for the pcv system
@@southerngearz yeah on these cars it’s a wear item. Only time I’d reuse is if it had to come off soon after a new one was just installed. They also make metal ones that will delete the stock pcv system but that’s a whole separate thing
@@southerngearz I have two upgraded turbo n54s. Both are oem(but new) valve covers. Don’t cheap out with an Amazon or no name. I also deleted the head ports on both cars and vent the pcv to ground or catch can. But leave the flapper side stock imo

I saw the whole setup but was thinking that was crazy but now that you say that maybe not so crazy. I will look into the whole cover thanks guy.

Good to know thanks im about to turn up the power and dont need something as simple as the valve cover messing thinga up.
