Could you make a biography for Otto Strasser? He's always fascinated me. He was part of the NSDAP and one of the closest men to Hitler, but eventually his more "Marxist" views got him kicked out and his brother was killed during the night of the long knives. In 1940 Strasser wrote a book called "Germany Tomorrow", encouraging the German populace to overthrow Hitler and actually had a very solid idea of how WW2 would play out. He was a man that the fuhrer was always looking to assasinate, yet he outlived him for a long time. Also he wanted an alliance with the USSR in the early years of his policital campaign, though iirc he wrties in 1940 how both the USSR and Germany are ruthless and does not want anything to do with them.

In my country and in many countries that were close to the eastern bloc, even to this day many anti- left politicians, writers and political scientists have tried to use his theories in order to make the Horseshoe Theory as a fact. The pro- horseshoe theory has been used ever since the rise of fascist groups in early 2010s and have even met a guy that claimed he was a fan of Strasser (Fascists are prolly less worth than scum).

hitler lured a lot of people into the fold that were optimistic about the "socialism" part of "national socialism."
However, as the titling of the NSDAP itself was a pure act of disingenuous and fictitious propaganda meant to deceive the working class into joining up, (along with most of their subsequent policies) - actual socialists soon realized that the name of the NSDAP was a rancid lie meant to lure in the working poor.

The idea that he'd have been installed as a puppet leader in an occupied Britain is not accurate at all, homegrown fascists were rarely installed as puppets. Someone like Lord Halifax would've been a much more likely choice and furthermore, Mosley stated routinely he would fight the Germans had they invaded and offered to fight the Axis when war broke out, when he was interned.

As usual, your premise is fundamentally wrong. Mosley wasn't "Hitler's man" my any stretch of the imagination. He was first and foremost a patriot and also a great believer in the emancipation of the working class despite his aristocratic background and a leading opponent of globalist capitalism arguing instead for investment in national infrastructure. He wasn't wrong. When war broke out, Mosley and his movement were quick to swear loyalty to Britain and supported the war effort. Hitler and Mosley despised each other personally too. And no, the "battle of Cable Street" is a propaganda myth - he was very far from unpopular with the working class but made the mistake of trying to march through East End streets in uniform - something never tolerated in East London whether it was the army, the police or the Salvation Army. It was still that way when I lived there in the 60s, 70s and 80s. In the 90s the Mosley family became customers of my IT business and I have nothing bad to say about them personally either - they were gents. Repeating this tired old slander isn't real history.

Hitler didn’t like many. But he wanted a separate peace with Britain. Remember? He often complained of Mussolini...and Goreing. Few people he did like. Martin Boreman maybe. Ava Braun definitely. Mrs.Hitler. She was. Cyanide capsule for a wedding gift! Charming. Mosely was a figurehead. Nazi Germany was all about figure heads. Roland Frisler...Hitler Nazi Star Judge! Murdered many people that Hitler didn’t like. But loved the celebrity status. Hung 5000 Germans after the failed assassination on Hitler in his bunker. FEAR! Kept the Figureheads in line. Roland was killed in an allied bombing. German Propaganda Radio made no mention of it. Most everyone was glad he was dead. A monster of there own making. Mosely is this type.

Both girls shared a room and drew a chalk mark on the floor. One side has swastikas and photos of Hitler the other side sickle and hammer and photos of Stalin. I think the sister who was rather apolitical was Deborah, The Duchess of Cavendish. No one really knew much about Pamala the most rural Mitford.
