I think its the way he sings that so many people including myself relate to. Ive got everything ive ever wanted (not a brag.. im a simple man... I got my girl my dog and my travel trailer) but i relate to this because even if i tried to convey how i feel id feel damn near helpless which i feel is the tone on this song. Almost broken hearted but a heavy underlining of optimism. Kinda a realizing of worth IMO. And anyone listening that is upset i met the love of my life when i stopped being hung up over losing a HS sweetheart. You wont know till it happens but it really does get better than you know. Its not worth listening to one more sad song.

I wish I found this song about a year ago, when it would've applied to my feelings. About a year ago, I broke up with a man who I thought loved me back as much as he made me love him. I had a bad feeling towards him from the very first time I met him. I was stupid for letting him wear me down, force me to lower my walls, and stupid for having genuine feelings toward him. The love I felt blinded all my judgment that I did have, made me ignore the red flags. I wasted more than 2 YEARS on him, where he demanded so much of my attention constantly that I felt obligated to ignore a friendship that was near and dear to me. Then he abandoned me, said he was gonna move out of the town and everything. I see him walking downtown occasionally, and to say he moved on fast is an understatement. Now I'm all alone, and ever since then my depression had gotten worse... It's finally recovering, and now I find a song that links up perfectly with all this... Oh well, if I ever need to make a coping video, it's here on the backburner...
