Big Red Dry Fly

This is a great fly in the summer on the midlands reservoirs. It has caught well for me on Draycote especially. It is basically a Shipman's buzzer with a 'paraloop' hackle and lays flat on the water like a Shipman's but floats a bit better. For northern reservoirs try tying this pattern using black seal's fur mixed with a small amount of red and use a black hackle instead of red game. It's a great fly! this fly caught me a bag full at Chew yesterday ! even after it had got waterlogged, they were hitting it sub surface. a great pattern.

Nice tying but VERY annoying music spoils it.
