If I could have picked any two living people to sit down and record a conversation for my enjoyment and edification, it would probably be these two. RIP Michael Brooks.
Mike is JUST NOW getting to the February revolution in 1917 Russia... after 60 eps of foundation laying. Which means it's time for Chapo to invite him back for a return visit. Just because.
All superficial allegories aside I believe the American edition would be something along the lines of "Toga!, Toga!, Toga!" A heathy dollop of "incoherence" if you will ( or even "if you WON'T ( ! ) just 'cause...this IS 'murka by dogies!)A more personalised singular account of simular material would be... From deluded Reagan to PURE PAIN-GUN in "One Guy's Lifetime : The View From The Couch" would be an apropo title for my unwritten autobiography, Coming Soon as I "get a life" that is!* * don't worry about me! I've had a great life any time I want one thru the power of "selective memory" in the same way America can STILL (even now, at this late date) BE GREAT AGAIN 👍IF... They just cancel that damn M.R.T.!
Was just watching Yale Courses “the Marxian failure and it’s legacies” and found it hilarious the number of euphemisms for “immiseration” the professor had to use to describe modern life.
I am very interested in Matt's point at the end about the change in the militaries view of the civilians it protects. I served in the 90s and there were so many other minorities and us city boys that I didn't get a huge conservative vibe. If it came to insurrection the Army would have split pretty evenly imo. Think the magazine Military Times had active duty members voting very slightly Biden in the last election. The capitol riots featured a lot of vets, but that might not be a good representation of actual service member and vets views.
Okay so half are reactionary goons and the other half are reactionary goons, how does that bode well for the populace in any way? Voting for Biden does not make you virtuous, he is a career warmongering ghoul. There is no good future for america but at least we deserve all the pain that's coming.
Literally the greatest crossover of my life I am such a nerd

I'm a big fan of both of these intellectual podcasters so seeing them teaming up even for a one off is appreciated.

I like the reactionary goons on the right side because they at least pay lip service to representing my interests.
Thanks for this! :)
