I fitted one of these in my van conversion a few years ago. Simple but effective and robust piece of kit, sips fuel, takes an age to heat up - that pan of water in the video would take 30-45 minutes to boil from cold start - but once it’s hot it cooks and heats well. Fiddly to fit the exhaust/intake bracket but worth the scraped knuckles. As long as diesel exists, this is by far the best van / boat / off grid cooking and heating solution, but stupidly expensive. If the price was dropped to below 1k these would sell faster than they could produce them.

You close the lid. A fan blows air over the hot cooktop and out into the van.

Yes it’s designed for Campervans, Panel Van conversions and boats, produces much less water condensation than Gas and is safer. You can leave the heater on all night, unlike gas. I am told on full heating power it uses 1/4 of a litre of diesel an hour.

Devonian hi yes £1550 in uk but if you consider what you would for gas bottles, hob unit and heater they can all mount up to similar cost but you then have to replace gas at regular intervals and they are not as safe.

Where do you add the diesel? How much fuel does it hold? @@dcurleyifa

Busy Bee Leds Hi, the Wallas is connected directly through the sender unit in the vehicles fuel tank so no need for separate tank, this makes it easy to keep a check on consumption
