  • Today we look at the diesel cooker.
This party cooker is from Wallas. Made in Finland we believe these are the best diesel cookers in the market.
In this short video we run through what’s included and why we think they’re better than a gas cooker.
Here’s a breakdown of the 800 DSL from Wallas themselves.
New model 800DSL - For users who appreciate the safety and legendary Scandinavian design. The new Wallas 800DSL stove is the best choice for small vans with limited space - suitable for even the most demanding camper/chef!
The 800DSL features the Wallas Design ceramic surface, making it easy to clean and comfortable to use. The new Wallas GB burner works well with all current road diesel and is designed to work with future diesel that may include more renewable components.
The new burner generates ultra-low emissions (NOx and HC), very important for environmentally minded customers who appreciate protecting their future environment.
The new design can also accommodate a heater lid for van heating (additional cost) and its coaxial exhaust system provides greatly enhanced wind resistance, maximizing exhaust protection, while meeting the most stringent safety regulations.
Coaxial exhaust assures cool exhaust piping, while our enclosed laminar burn process eliminates cabin humidity impact. The coaxial exhaust also maximizes burner/heater power and efficiency.

    Very informative👍
In terms of cost, can you give a very rough indication of cost of the actual unit?

Thanks! Very informative. With a blower lid on, how do these compare, heating-wise, with a standalone diesel heater?

Hi. We generally only use the blower lids in the bigger vans.
One thing to consider is the heat generated starts at mid point (worktop level) so you don’t get the nice even temperature that a diesel heater outlet which is floor level gives.
We’ve the duo heaters in crafters with great results but I found the heater was just too hot in a T5.
