I had the same thing happen last week. Now I can barely hear the notification sound, just like a little tiny sound. Makes the whole system somewhat less valuable! Love those automatic updates!!
Yes, the same thing happened with me. The IOS 17.1.1 update changed notifications to what I call a “dew droplet.” It’s hardly audible and renders your security system almost worthless. Very frustrating.
I wish my Samsung had the option to move thru diff alert sounds for my front dooe Blink camera, as my dogs are familiar with the alert and bark (most of the time I don't even answer the front door bcause I'm working) and is disruptive😢.
I'm having the same problem with my blink camera i have went to notifications it didn't work for me all it does is vibrate

I updated to iOS 17 yesterday and now I can barely hear the Blink alert. Shopping for a new security camera system.
Hopefully Apple will get enough blowback to fix that bug sooner than later.

Joe update your iPhone to 17.2 as apple have now added anew section in sounds so you can now get access to all the sounds that apple

It’s funny I had a pretty loud (ok loud is exaggerating) notification, but it was doable, until last week when I update my IOS to 17.1.1 now I have a droplet noise, I can hardly hear it! I’m going to email them again, because I’ve had nothing but problems with my floodlights not going on automatically. They did fix the front one for my but the back ones aren’t working yet. I agree they have great customer service!!
Hopefully if they get enough calls about this they’ll change it.

Yes, my phone updated overnight to 17.1.1 and now I have the same noise. It’s barely audible. But it’s not just the Blink notifications, it’s others as well. So Blink AND Apple will be getting inundated with calls.
I completely agree this should be a basic function so unfortunately I have to now shop for a new system, it’s shame they can’t get their app sorted out I can’t see how this is anything to do with Apple unless apple have built there app for them (don’t think so).
Also I just installed IOS 17.1.1, and they’ve changed to notification sound to some little droplet sound that is barely audible… so now the Blink notifications (as well as many other notifications) are even worse. I’m quite sure Apple is getting a lot of blowback for this.
That’s true you can do it on android but you can’t do it on Apple. I called them they said oh it’s an iPhone issue but of course it’s not. It’s their app.

I updated the iOS yesterday and I’m still unable to change the notification sound.
Were you able to change yours?
IOS 17.2.1 allowed us to have some control over it, as it was operating under the “default” notification sound. Somehow in recent days, Blink is no longer operating under the default sound setting. It seems now to be operating on its own, with no ability to change it again. VERY frustrating.
@@papajoeknows8355 I changed the Default sound, but it didn’t change the Blink sound. No luck so far. ☹️
Better yet, return it. I have just done that. Was going to use it as a 360° security system around my van! The alert volume and the inability to change the tone and volume makes it completely unsuitable as a security camera. What was blink thinking?
Agreed, this is something they need to rectify or they’re going to come back like boomerangs.
I’ve had mine for years I always miss the notifications cause the sound is so low smh. Still as an affordable system it works but I wish they would change that.
It is set to REBOUND (default ) now you can change to louder sounds

Just switch off motion detection in the app for any particular camera, and it won’t get triggered so won’t come on.
You are wrong you can change the Notification sound got to amps click on that Amp. And you will see where it gives you the option to change the notification sound. Make sure you.

You can’t after recent IOS update. I would join what I’m guessing is a GIANT club and call Apple to complain… 800-275-2273

Apple sucks for not being able to change it! A droplet is not a sound especially for the hard of hearing!!

If you want to switch the notification sounds for the blink cameras...you have to switch to android. That's the only way this is possible.
In other words, you didn’t watch the video lol.
