Thank you for not having ads - possibly due to ADHD, anxiety &tc, I often find adverts so jarring and distracting (especially if unskippable) I sometimes just close TH-cam and don't watch a video. It's not that I don't believe you deserve more revenue for the wonderful service you provide us all, and I do hope to start supporting you on patreon and/or your shop some time soon. For me, it's particularly lovely how 'at home' you make us feel here, so it's nice not to have to 'earn' that by watching some inane sales pitch (and in fact, even when your video is almost entirely about products you're selling, it feels informative rather than manipulative - WELL DONE!) Thanks for being so awesome and inspiring. xx

Not sure what I love most: the books are soooo wonderfully written and the pictures in there too. The Eileenish soap is GREAT and the bees wax candles are just gorgeous and their smell!!... I love the way you manage it all so there is something for all of us: youtube, your shop and patreon and Instagram - I hope you keep on with all you do and especially that you keep on loving it! We love it to be here on the lime green sofa and I send too lots of love to you Kate and all you fellows here in the sofa!
I stopped watching the news a little over 3 years ago and its amazing how the quality of my life improved. My son in law, a deeply depressed news junkie, let's me know if there is something I need to know. Like you I hate ads (on anything basically). But if you feel the need, I'll still be here sitting on the lime green sofa with you and the other patrons.
Good morning Kate and everyone on the lime green sofa. It's Thursday 8am here in Dorset. Sorry I'm a bit late and wearing pyjamas, just got up. I was so tired last night having cleaned my oven. It took a long time but it is now in showroom condition! One of those jobs that I put off. I have made a promise to me that after each use it will get a quick clean! Stay safe ❤

I don’t need to watch the news, my son is the news!, He comes home to us after grim days on the ‘front line’.
There is no escape for us as a family, I have a lovely friend in the same situation and her son has been very ill and is back at work today for a grim 4 nights of 12hr shifts.
I wish my only worry was ‘having to stay in’.☹️
I’ve been trying to keep myself busy making my two little granddaughters a quilt each and I just thank heaven for the good weather so we can get out into the garden, but there will be a lot of questions to be answered when this is all over.

I absolutely love this, and will print the instructions out and gather up some goodies so our grand daughter and I can have a crafty project together - at least, when I can finally be with her. :( I have always loved tiny things, and this project is so fun and sweet, and Rosie will love it too. These videos are lovely, and a breath of fresh air, and I am delighted to say that I have introduced several of my dear knitting friends to you, and they are finding you completely charming and inspirational too. Thanks so much for all you do! (P.S. The ads are a bit of a nuisance, but we are all used to them, and if they are helpful to you, I wouldn't mind them at all.)

Granny Squared ...... I feel the same . I can't afford to independently fund a channel , even the loveliest Kate channel . Ads would make me feel that financially there's a contribution and it really wouldn't detract from my watching . But.... Kate's choice and I'd support whichever decision occurs or doesn't occur .

I can only afford the lowest tier of Patreon so wouldn’t mind ads either, You come to accept them don’t you and as long as they don’t pop up right in the middle of some important detail in the video, I don’t mind them, you can skip them or watch them, it’s all revenue at the end of the day and every little helps, so I would go for it if I was putting as much time and effort into a vlog as you do Kate, I think it’s hard earned, I couldn’t do a thimbleful of the things you do, yet it all seems effortless and relaxed, you are like a swan Kate or maybe shall we say like Eileen, all gentle and serene on the top yet peddling for your life underneath lol
You know Kate, I consider myself pretty crafty, a quilter, and gardener, and do a lot of homey things in the kitchen, keep journals that I make, and I really don't know how you have enough hours in the day to do all that you do. It amazes me really. You have inspired me to try new things, and I don't knit either, nor do I have a Norma that needs so much petting. I would gladly listen to ads, I truly mean it, if it meant you could go slower. Often the ads are tailored to my viewing habits, like lots of sewing and quilting ads.
I have really enjoyed Ceri's soaps. I ordered some for Christmas gifts last year and just recently ordered some new ones to try. Thank you for sharing her with us. I am so happy to see the downloadable prints. I was hoping at some point you might offer the cooking things you are offering for the higher patreon fees. I'm just not in a position to be able to increase and especially during these trying times. Thank you for keeping us all calm and happy.

I love your handspun green and pink jacket. You were saying that you were concerned about the postal service. i recently sent my son a handspun alpaca jumper and some handfelted slippers and i tucked a new bottle of vitamins in without a thought. im not sure of the reason possibly to check why the soft packet was rattling???? but the postal service slashed the packet open slashing the alpaca knitting. its on its way back to me to be mended. You know how much work went into this jumper and how upset i am. I guess the message is always sent the vitamins separately. Mark asked me if I had insured the post pack. I didnt even consider it as it wasnt breakable or so i thought. Anyway enough of my wows..Thank you for you friendly shows..Leonie

Lovely visit today. Do love the take care videos. Can’t watch the daily updates, also can’t avoid them. I’ve learned some new techniques these last few weeks. Having trouble focusing on projects, but also trying venture into thing I’ve been wanting to do. Now apparently I need to go over to the shoppe, and do some retail therapy

Hi Kate, I think you should seriously consider monetizing this channel and having Ads. I watch plenty of other channels, ALL of which have Ads, and I don’t mind pressing skip to get to the video and learn something new. (Sometimes I watch the Ads and learn about a new product.) Your channel is by far my favorite and I don’t watch you to learn something or get free information, although I usually do. I watch you because your content is a “feel good” place for me. I realize how much effort you put into these videos. So, for those of us who might not be able to afford to buy things from your shop or join Patreon, I think the least we could to watch a couple Ads to generate some income for you.

That's nice Brooke, but we all know that ads are annoying, and if you skip them, the channel doesn't get the revenue...so it would just be an annoyance for nothing!
I didn’t realize that if you skip an Ad it doesn’t count. Still, knowing this, I would be willing to sit through Ads on Kate’s channel, knowing it brings her some level of revenue, if I am unable to contribute by buying from the shop or joining Patreon. I would be happy to do this if it helps.

Hello, good evening! Its midnight here in Europe. Time for bed but first I pause on the LGS to see Kate and you all! Hope you are all doing well. Love the little houses! We haven’t watched the news here , either! More then 4000 deaths in Belgium, a country with only 10 million people! So many victems are vunerable old people in nursing homes. Its all to sad and daunting to watch. It makes us all depressed!
Good new for removing the current new from your day, I stopped a couple of weeks ago, now I sleep better. Kate go with the ads, we will all still be here. Nobody works for free these days. I’ve worked all my life, I’m done now, so hats off to you.👍❤️😊

It's so good to get the LGS outside! We are all liable to gain 20 pounds on our snacks if we don't go out for walkies. :) I was just telling one of the other patrons how much I am inspired by your books. I love the pattern; it's like a fairy house. Your cardigan is fabulous! I listen to the news in the morning or at lunch, but that's it. Much love to all your family. Kate I learned a while ago that I couldn’t watch the news. It just kept me so upset. I haven’t been on the sofa lately. I’ve been planting seeds and getting my garden planted. Delighted with the idea of digital downloads - another stream of income that I am happy to support as a great alternative to ads. Could we please have a bunting download? I know there are lots of videos/tutorials out there for them but your way of explaining plus your flair for colour would make it so worthwhile. I am sure it is a lot of work to prepare something for a digital download (I got the shrine one - I can see the work and care!) but perhaps others would like a bunting download too. We need such cheery things this year especially! Any other bunting people out there??

There are so few channels that are ad free. That's one more thing I love about yours. However, if at some point that is your only option to continue your channel, I will be okay with that. You bring so much joy to us that a brief ad is worth being with you.

Hello sofa folks! Kate, that was a very intricate puzzle with all those faces. You have such good use of time with all your many projects. Very cool.
Have to say... you may want to rethink going with the adverts... people are so used to it and skip as a matter of course - or...have the option of supporting you by watching, without having to go to the trouble of purchasing anything, which they either don't need or can't get delivered right now (I do have a delicious liberty lavender pouch I bought from you a few months ago so this isn't personal!). I watch a lot - Ali, 'Little Drops of Wonderful', and Gayna, 'Tales from Cuckoo Land', are just two - both of whom have adverts and I now know that by watching the adverts I can support them - the adverts don't stop me from watching and, from a viewer's point of view, it's a 'lazy' way of being able to say 'thank you' by watching - of course I don't watch the 4 minute ads... but I do let the 30 or 40 second ones run as thanks. Just sayin... ;-)

Hello Kate and all on the LGS. I was able to snag some soap. Yea! I have other soaps from Ceri and they are beautiful. When the package arrives, the scent is wonderful. Working at a hospital lab, I also have stopped watching the Corona news. We get an email update and for me that is enough. Love and hugs to all.
What a great way to use wee bits of fabric!! The round ones inside reminds me of a favorite children's book illustration, the title of which I cannot recall.
