Before I even start talking about the making of the MAP, I need to extend two very special thank-yous:

When I completed "Whip It!" I promised myself that I would never aim to release a MAP on a holiday ever again due to the strict deadlines and stress involved.
I clearly lied to myself, but with great results! This is my most quickly completed MAP since my first, which also happened to be to some Heroes of Might and Magic music. Mystical qualities, perhaps?
I have been an avid Heroes of Might and Magic player for longer than I can remember, and I've yet to complete any campaigns, yet I hold the game and its music near and dear to my heart. Before I listened to the Heroes Orchestra's cover of the Necropolis Castle's theme, I hadn't truly appreciated it as a song or as an in-game faction. The music has a sort of poetic prose to it and tells a vivid story of turmoil and hatred and eventual eternal rest.

FINALLY a map where scourge has the dog teeth OVER his original claws like the books say he had, it being the sole reason he beat tigerclaw despite his small stature, Instead of just regular claws! Amazing map and creepy AU!
Also not sure what's more scary, being in hell, or being completely alone is a blank white void.
Truthfully though wouldn't that be such a determent having blunt dog claws over your own sharp cat claws?
@@Parasolhyena They made a mistake with what they said. I believe in the books it wasn't dog claws his claws were reinforced with, but dog teeth. Thus making all the difference.
I could be wrong but isn't solidarity and mute senses like a torture technique? Yeah, this is bad, lol. At least in the Dark Forest, you have other cats to talk to.
I love the giant contrast between his big adult form and kit form (though still bigger than his sibs)
I adored the little detail of scourges claws and the dog teeth both being there
I love this MAP so much... There's nothing better than MAPs that are also character studies. I could see exactly how Tigerstar became the (non-human) person he was. He got so used to seeing potential opponents as nothing but prey - something to be hunted. And he was a good hunter too. You can feel how confused he, when his prey fought back. And won.
Everyone did a wonderful job! This will be a MAP i revisit again and again
YES!!! ABSOLUTELY CORRECT ON THE HUNTING THING!!!!! I love how much people committed to the preylike cats later in the MAP!! Pokefan hit it out of the park with Tigerstar's confused / surprised expression, thank you so much!

YESSSSS this is probably my favorite of the halloween maps because its horror stems from how someone can cause so much damage by their warped dehumanizing perception of everyone else.

What a hauntingly beautiful MAP this turned out to be. The music and colour palettes worked exceptionally well with stirring up emotions and I'm super glad this got done just in time for the MAPathon. Ty for letting me be a part of this project!!

I think Tigerclaw is more of a Dungeon player than a Necropolis player.
Necropolis is more a Darkstripe, Sol, Darktail?, Maybe Scourge? Kind of castle.
Although Inferno also fits.
Anyone notice long tails eyes were the only non white ones 1:45
new favorite map fr. everyone's parts fit perfectly with the brilliant heroes orchestra music and the whole project is just so climatic. the storytelling is on point. and the editing (especially the transitions)... so delicious. gg gamers
NOOOO I MISSED THE PREMIERE BECAUSE OF DINNER but oh my god this is such a BANGER project, holy shit!!!!! the symbolism, the music to match the vibe, EVERYONES ART!? absolute perfection
IT ALL CAME TOGETHER BEAUTIFULLY, I’m so proud along side the other participants to be have been able to work on this project!!! Once again you hit a home run time and time again with new concepts for your maps. Such as TLU and now this!!!

Can someone please explain the exact plot of this though?
From the looks of it, it's basically the same plot as the first series; but instead of going to the Dark Forest, Tigerstar is reunited with his sisters in the afterlife. He reverts back to the innocent kit he was when they were alive but, since he was the only living cat who still remembered them, they fade away leaving him alone until his time comes to join them. And given how infamous his deeds have made him, he'll likely be alone for a very long time.

This is just sad, especially how Tigerstar -tries- to reach out to others but no one gives him the time of day. The ending is strangely soothing,though.

I did not expect it to be the song I knew by this name, but rather that it being the theme from HoMM3 was a wrong expectation.
Im absolutely in love with this map, everyone did so well, the story is so clear and so creative, I really cant think of a better way to say how gorgeous this project is, incredible!!! the sad and petite tiger in the end makes me wanna hug him, the plot line in this map made me feel genuine sadness and empathize for him, poor baby!
At first when I read Peppermint moss' comic I thought it was in meme format cause Rock (?) said "Its time to go."

I have on question tho why is it second death when it’s his first one?
Great question! That thought DID come to me while writing the script, but ultimately I decided that the story flowed better this way. If I tried to fit in Tigerstar's childhood AND his first death AND his second death, everything would end up rushed and the story would feel too cramped.

I love that Tigerclaw’s claws get increasingly more bloody as time goes on and he murders more and more cats.
I also really love the detail of his ears moving like a realistic cat’s ears would at 3:32
