      @@josegarcia711 the engine size is going to change how it sounds. It would take something more aggressive to sound the same in a 454

      @@josegarcia711 is it an ls based 454? All I really know about is LS stuff and it is 99% turbo ls stuff.

      After swapping cam U will need have it tuned before taking it to the track.my question to you ..IIM installing turbo and turbo cam but ATM it's tuned with big nasty 240s na cam ,after I put the turbo cam in and turbo will it run 1st off and be fine to drive few miles to my tuner for dyno tune

    Thanks for posting, Really enjoyed it. reminded me of when i did a cam swap on my buddies LS one a couple of yrs back, he beats the hell out of that thing and it is still rippin just fine. cant wait to get my own so my work isn't in vein, hell i never even got a ride in the Camaro lmao. he sends me a vid link every now and again with the HP tuner screen and a rip up to 90 or so. on a side note "for everyone" be sure that rubber gasket on the cam cover is in good shape. "the orange line on the back side of it" if that isn't there u have 0 oil pressure. and fyi, springs are a pain without the right compressor if you are leaving the engine in the car. just if anyone is thinking of doing it, prepare for about 8 to 9 hours of cussing and frustration and putting an air hose in the spark plug hole to keep the valve from falling. "be sure it is tdc when u remove the spring to be safe" then after that u get to fire her back up. heating the balancer works fine. this fella is definitely putting in some work on this bad boy, very impressed with the progress in short order brother.

    Heck ya sounds great. not a lot of lope, but enough. "never expect a lot of lope with a turbo cam" makes it more of a sleeper.

      Should be a little more when it warms up and idles around 850-900. This was around 1200rpm since engine was cold.

      Spring kit comes with clips, retainers, seals and spring guides.

      I usually don't to the trunion. I'm stubborn so will probably have to wreck a motor finding the failure point before I add that as a precaution. Lol.

    How do you like this cam? I'm looking for a good turbo cam for my 99 Camaro, that'll work well in the LS1, but also work in a bigger c.i motor, which I plan on building down the line.

    You running stock valves with this setup? I just installed a stage 3 na cam but a local told me the cam will break stock valves. But ive only head that with ls7 valves and hollow stem ls3 valves. Not l92 solid stem

      It was just a harbor freight leak down tester hose.

      @@paintballmaster500 I don't do anything different because Its stock rocker, stock lifter, stock length pushrod. 3rd time I've used this setup and has worked well as is every time... Mustang I had ran 8.80 in 1/4 mile with the twin turbo version of this cam, and same springs.

      Lot more lift, different duration/LSA ect.

      @@BlaserBuilds I thought that with most LS cam swaps you just spun the old cam and the lifters just stayed up in the trays. Your method is safer, however.
