Two things to add: Navali refers to Atziri as "red queen" in her Day of Sacrifice dialogue. So it makes even more sense that "the red lords" also refer to Vaal rulers. Synthesis had a memory related to the Plaguemaw, about a villager who decided they should eat the children first. No new information in it, though.
In a nutshell; the pale council, the proto-vaal, the ezomyte origin myth, the vaal civilisation collapse, the cataclysm..... That's a lot of nuclear/volcanic winter there. There seem to be a certain pattern
I've been catching up on the channel and I also noticed this. I think it's pretty clear by this point that Wraeclast's mountain range was fishy even before the Beast and Malachai's cataclysm. That may even be the reason why Sin planted his creation there in the first place.
Even the guy that keeps Maven safe is "drowned by our presence" and can't even remember what he looked like before. It's very possible that our ability of free thought, of unbound imagination, is the "eldritch" power native to our realm ingame
I see a lot of videos pointing at similarities with the 3.13 teasers and Abyss. I hope you do an Abyss lore video soon Noodles! PoE lore is such a good thing to put into video. You doing a great job.
Just discovered you through Steam's news page, and love the lore of Path of Exile. I'm going to be watching all your stuff so I can know ALL the lore. You are a god among mortals for making these! xD
I dreamed of a forgotten tomb, where a gravedigger told me to kick a stone that had something strange underneath it, when I did that I was sucked into a catacomb with four walls and a roof, in each corner of the walls there was a bed, in each bed a person lying asleep and apparently living in a nightmare, as they made some faces as if they were in pain. There were three men and a woman, all of them lying upside down on the bed, and dressed in white as if it were patients' clothes, near the dark middle of the room there was a woman, I almost didn't see her because of the darkness of this catacomb. I asked who they were, and she told me "the pale council". After a while, the four of them one at a time started talking to me, as if they were judging me for the things I did in life, it was sinister and oppressive, the way they spoke and opened their mouths in an exaggerated abnormal way to speak. It's been a while since I played PoE, and I found it very strange to the point of researching these individuals, and here I am
I think Pale Court is inspired by God Hand from Berserk (manga, anime) They could be related to the Lightless of Abyss, since Crown of the Pale King reference lightless world. P.S. Great videos, keep up the good work!
AKA The gatekeepers to multi-mod crafting.
HAHAHA
RIP Navali. I hope she reappears at some point in some form.
We'll see Navali in Trials of Ancestors, in Hinekora's domain.

I love that you're so on top of the lore! I wish so badly I'd been recording during Synthesis. So many good bits of lore!
Holy shit, the depth of this lore is so much more than I realized. Great work.

Thank you. You are doing a great service to those of us lore starved for years with this amazing game.
To everything that ever happens in this game, I'd like to quote Dominus:
"This world is an illusion, exile"
PoE is a nightmare created by GGG...
:P

Nice. I always wondered what's the deal with those prophecies

I would like a revisit to the pale council
Nice vid, always interesting
It's probably an unpopular opinion, but we're long overdue for an updated prophecy mechanic.
Pour one out for Navali and the Pale Council, because in 3.17, they and Prophecies will be gone from the game.
SpookyBunchEh?
lol never seen diss before ever
how did GGG notice you?
In an Announcements forum post about lore questions (the first one) they gave an official shout out at the end of the post for these videos!
