Very familiar with these cars parents had a few as I was growing up. 7 Plymouth, 80 dodge, 84 dodge, 84 K car wagon. And a 88 dodge. Also had a 83 024 great cars, all of them were from copart and wrecked. But junkyard were plentiful in the 80s 90s, many time my dad would find the same color cars for bolt on replacement parts. Never had any mechanical issues at all.

Biggest issue with these car right now is finding parts. I have owned dozens of them and they have all been fairly reliable. I have a 1985 New Yorker we will be working on next so stay tuned!

Thanks for the info. I have the same welder and a Rampage with the same rusty floors.

I takes some time to get the settings just right. And you really have to take your time with it.

I have found using a 0.9mm core wire easier to weld thin sheet, doesnt burn so hot as .8mm.

This flux core came with .30 (7.62mm) out of the box, so I was just using what we had. They do have .35 (8.89mm) wire for it, so I will give that a try when we run out of this spool of wire. Most of the work has been done with a gas Mig with .26 (6.6mm) solid core wire. The gas mig is way more forgiving, but some people don't have the cash to drop on one. Just want to see if it is possible with a cheap welder, and it is!

As my grandad always told me... A grinder and pain make you the welder you aint.

If you wanted to make easy videos that...at least i... would still love to watch, just throw the camera in a good spot and timelapse it with real time during the important areas. I dont need commentary or anything... just watching things play out is valuable enough since i dont ever get to just observe and learn.
