If you allow me, I would like to make a suggestion now that combat is starting to become more beautiful and dynamic: Those of us who practice Iaijutsu really enjoy the process of noto (sheathing the sword). It occurred to me that perhaps it wouldn't be difficult to make the katana like the gourd; an object that is always on the obi (belt) if we equip it in a certain slot. That way you could add a real draw and sheath, or even a Shiburi (shake the sword) like in ghost of tsushima to clean the blood. By the way, I couldn't help but notice that when making several light attacks in a row, the character hits to the right with the right leg in front. This is very dangerous and no good samurai would do it unless he has lost concentration. Maybe you want to fix it later. Thanks for your incredible work, I really enjoy your game. Have a great week :D
Finally it looks like Sengoku Dynasty is getting somewhere! I finally decided to get it now that the updates seem to be flowing in. Please keep up the hard work! がんばって!(Ganbatte!)
Just bought the game last week and I have been very much enjoying playing it but was hoping for some improvements to be on their way. Then I saw this today! Thank you Toplitz for a substantial update, very happy with your work and your attention to detail and making the game more fun to play. Huge fan and excited for future features and to continue supporting your company.
As this game takes place in the Sengoku Period and we can basically forge samurai armor (I don't know if we can forge a Kabuto) the game could randomly generate Nobunaga's samurai or ashigarus trying to annex our fief and giving us reason to always improve our village.
@@toplitzproductions But what about enemy armies? The sengoku period is known for being a horrible era of war. You should be worried about getting too strong, as you dont want to get into eyesight of larger clans, who only seek to build up their empires. There should be a system where similar to realm divide in Shogun 2, if you get too powerful, you could catch the eye of an enemy like Nobunaga, or Takeda Shingen, or Uesugi Kenshin. Perhaps each have their own style of war, and different systems of how they may treat you when defeated.
I just want to say that this game is a dream come true for me, I love that era and this update especially is amazing. Thank you for all the hard work and I really look forward to future improvements and the development of this amazing game.
Damn, game has come a long way since I checked in on it a while ago. With this combat update I' m about to purchase it right now and give it a run! Great work team
I picked this game up on it's release (early access) thinking combat was non-existent. Now I'm clearly seeing the devs vision. I'll pick it up again soon!
I'm very excited for every new update to the game! I've put all my hope in indie studios to make a believable game set in medieval Japan. Keep up the good work, this update convinced me to purchase the game!
I have some little suggestion for the game. I noticed that the forests and other parts of the map are very lively with many animal and birds, but there aren't any in the rivers or in the ocean. It would be nice to see fishes swimming around that you could hunt with a speer or fish with a fishing rots. Especially because the citizens of ones village can have the fisher profission, but you cannot fish yourself. There also could be birds swimming on the waters like ducks for example, that you could hunt. The waters in general are pretty empty. There could be seagras and shells in the waters as well. I also noticed that there is no swimming animation when you are "swimming" in deep waters like the ocean. There basically just running or walking animations or your just standing in the water without sinking. (I don't know if only I have this or if this is a common issue)
I NEVER expected this game to have detailed combat (i honestly thought the combat would be terrible) but this looks AMAZING i love it! i bought the game to support the devs but i don't play it cause i never play early access so that i don't get bored before the full release but these new updates are EXTREMELY tempting
Now that the combat is getting a rework it would be really cool to see the armor customization get a huge update. Maybe get some dying stations to change the lace color and clothing volors and patterns, even the wrappings on the sword. Alongside that it would be cool to get a lacquer oriented workstation to change the look of the metal itself. That way you can make what is a storied set of armor and weapon for your storied leader and his warriors.
just came here from watching this game on nivaria's channel. don't know how i did not notice this game earlier, it's absolutely magnificent! but you might need more exposure. try Keralis, this game is right up his alley
Some suggestions, chances are you’ve already gotten these, or are actively considering/working on them, but I just needed to say it. 1.) Since this is The Sengoku Jidai, “The Age of the Country at War”, later on I would love to see enemy clans try to annex or pillage your territory. If possible, they progressively get stronger. So the stronger you are, the stronger your enemies will be. For example, you could at first just face a few raids from unarmored bandits. Then it advances to bandits with armoured ronin amongst them (similar to the ones you see in Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai) Next level, cavalry raiders. Then it advances to a minor clan. Then there can just be a period where its just you and this one clan trading blows, until the next level where a Major clan plans to seize your territory. This clan could be fictional, or to make it more immersive and fun, it could be the forces of a famous warlord of the Sengoku Period. Such as Oda Nobunaga, Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen, Hojo Ujiyasu, etc. Depending on which clan you are facing, you may have to change how you fight. For example, you could expect to face the Cavalry of the Takeda, and make preparations for that, training expensive, elite and time consuming, Samurai spearmen to face them. But instead, you face the guns of Oda Nobunaga, and your strategy now becomes pointless, as you are outmatched by their range, which causes all your hard-work to get annihilated by their gunners. Perhaps if you’re defeated, depending on who you face, the penalty may be different. For example, Uesugi Kenshin may spare your village and simply take some loot. Whilst the forces of Oda Nobunaga may devastate it. If you guys actually pulled off a system like this, that would definitely bring more people in, as that has been one of the main things missing that is keeping people from playing. 2.) Make Spears the go-to melee weapon by any means necessary. There are tons of games such as bannerlord that have a variety of weapons, but EVERY SINGLE TIME, spears are practically useless. This annoys me as spears, throughout human history, have often been the main melee weapon. The Sengoku Period is famous for the advancement in Pike and Shot warfare. The spear is known as the main melee weapon of the Samurai. So to have the spear be sidelined for the sword AGAIN, would be painful. So I personally, and im sure others would agree as well, would love to see spears buffed. Perhaps, a way to make it realistic is making it so that Trust attacks cannot be blocked, only dodged. This way, if you have a sword, you may be more cautious of the range of the spear (As it is in real life). The only way you can engage a spearman with a shorter weapon is by basically chipping away at them, running in when you see a mistake. This means, that only the most skilled swordsman can best a spearman. I feel that the AI should also have levels. For example, a peasant should be more hesitant, attack less, barely notice a gap or mistake. But a Samurai should be skilled, shouldn’t be as jumpy, wouldnt fall for feint attacks as much, does his own feint attacks, take full advantage of a mistake made by you. That makes Samurai a legitimate threat to you in a fight, but off course, they can just as easily be picked apart at range. So Gunners/Archers should be used to target elite troops before engaging them in melee. 3.) Variety in armour and weapons, this I believe you guys anyways have planned, but I just needed to add it. Cause otherwise the top two dont make any sense. My main complaint is the lack of helmets. 4.) I’m curious if you guys have a historical advisor, if so, who? Would love to know. I really hope you consider these suggestions. Because, these are the things I feel is missing from this game, and keeping a lot of Japanese History buffs from playing. Thanks.
@@toplitzproductions But have you considered adding an invading force or threat? Thats one of the main things I and many other Japanese History Buffs are waiting for. :)
at some point i would want to have more then just bandits to fight like an organised force of enemies then bandits like an antagonising enemy like the mongols for example or other enemies like a rival shogunate or something to organise a resistence to a antagonising enemy like a main villain
i realise that might not be that kind of game but id like to go to war with someone in this game plus i hope we can also learn shinobi skills as well that be a fun place to take this game

This is good. Are there Japanese maples and persimmon trees in the vegetation? In autumn, the mountains are dyed with the yellow of ginkgo trees and the red of Japanese maples, creating a beautiful scenery that could be the subject of a haiku poem. there is one thing breaking the game, optimization. i cant play with my friends because multiplayer is lagging, is it temporary or should i upgrade my pc?
I like that they ADMIT that they made big changes and likely have a few bugs... and tell you to notify them. This is so refreshing to hear sometimes as opposed to tripple A studios going: LOOK AT THE GRAMPHICS! THE MUSIC! Distractions so you dont realize in the trailer that half our sh!t clips through the environment and doesnt work, 80 dollars! Yes, quite a few studios admit this, but tripple A studios tend not to, and will in fact fight tooth and nail that they are right and you are wrong. Just for this, I will ask my friends if they see any intrigue in playing this game... Or I may buy it myself and play solo.
Uuuuuh looks really good , is enemies attacks your village to steal your food and kill your people ? So maybe in future we need to build walls around to protect them oh my if you manage to make that I think a lot people like Reid mechanic in games it’s give bigger porpoise to be a great leader
NGL The improved production system hyped me more new combat system. Not saying that new combat system is bad or anything, im hyped for it it too but old production system was clunky as hell 😅
Light and strong attacks, parrying, and dodging-it's not just about button-mashing, but mastering timing and technique. That's what defines a 'souls-like' experience, and it was a major inspiration for us.
@@toplitzproductions If that was a major inspiration for ya'l, that's cool. But Souls games didn't invent those mechanics, they weren't the first to implement them nor are they unique to their games. Light and heavy attacks and dodging had been a thing before them, after them and along side them in different ways. And parrying in those games is probably one of the most under used mechanics in the game. Your combat looks nothing like a Souls games, it looks more like Rise of the Ronin. Doesn't look like it handles like it at all. So it comes off as just a buzz word.
i tried the game months ago but it made me sick :( i do not know what was the problem but first i had light head pain and dizzy head after continued to play it i felt i need to throw up so because of this i refundend the game. If it was fixed, i would totaly love to play this game. Mostly very old games are the only ones that i am not able to watch others play or to play them myself like example old dooms and old star wars dark forces game. Bit this game does not look like this kind of games so no clue...
The maintenance stat kills the game. I loved it until I added 1 too many villagers, then the game became a chore. The villagers are more hassle than they're worth. Nothing is automated properly. This is Micro-Managment: The Game.
Now arming your clan with spears and armor and making them march to war is the only thing that is missing.
Spears are too complicated for video games :(

Every game has its own charm.
hello, is game getting update on epic games too?
Yes, that's the plan :)
there is one thing breaking the game, optimization. i cant play with my friends because multiplayer is lagging, is it temporary or should i upgrade my pc?
What PC do you have?
Please check the requirements on Steam.
Thank you very much for your support and feedback! Enjoy the game!
Uuuuuh looks really good , is enemies attacks your village to steal your food and kill your people ? So maybe in future we need to build walls around to protect them oh my if you manage to make that I think a lot people like Reid mechanic in games it’s give bigger porpoise to be a great leader
Not promising anything, but you will likely have to deal with the bandits. One way or another. ;-)
can you still recruit a troop?
No, but you can join your friends online and conquer bandit camps together.
Niiiceeeeeee
Can we craft a Kabuto?
No, not in this update, but much more coming later this year.
CAN WE RECRUIT NPC FOR COMBAT
Not at this point. Now you can play with your friends.
I just want animals.
If anime based in the feudal era can have cows and chickens on the streets, why can't a game based on the same?
That would be cool, right?
Thank you for not including the Italian language this time too. You are unique!
Sorry for that.
please tell me this will eventually come to xbox
Unfortunately, we cannot answer this right now. But, we hope it will come to consoles.
Tell me this is coming to console some time soon?!!
We would love to!
You guys need to bring this over to PS5! More sales for ya!
Never say never to that.
@@toplitzproductions 💪💪
Will this game come to console?
Yet to be determined after full release.
Please add parkour elements later or at least one day.
Sorry but it's not planned at this point.
i need to drink a water in game
NGL The improved production system hyped me more new combat system. Not saying that new combat system is bad or anything, im hyped for it it too but old production system was clunky as hell 😅
Yes, the new production system is a bit more harmonised and you can manufacture things in a purposeful way.
IN LATE 2024 WE CAN CLOSE THE DOOR ! GOOD BYE MOSQUETO !
Hold the door! Hold... the... door!
Its be cool if u can play as Lone wolf and cub with the baby cart lolz
Sounds awesome but that might be a different kind of game :)
@@toplitzproductions It could be something like Assassin mode xD
Let us have wohoo's in this game and also let have pets and train them for battle and stuff
:)
Multiplayer????
It's already there, 4 player Co-Op mode.
are we going ot be able to create our own army and seige others settlements or our settlement getting invaded
If you mean a four-player "army" in cooperative mode, then yes :P
are you a one man army do you have some help fighting off bandits from NPC?
Some bandits are easy to tackle, for some you will likely need some skill to counter their attacks, especially if they outnumber you.
アサシンクリードより戦闘が面白そう
SuuuuuuUUUUUU
When for xbox X?
It's not yet announced. Stay tuned!
XBOX yet?!
Let us complete the PC version first. But we definitely would love to see a console version.
@@toplitzproductions sweet! Also Wild West dynasty!
ps5?
Needs to be determined on release. Hopefully yes.
I feel like “Souls-Like” is just a buzz word now, this combat is nothing like Souls besides the fact that you can dodge lmao
Now it looks so much better but please add character creation, simple like changing face and hair and color option for that... nothing special
It's coming!
@@toplitzproductions oh wow nice, that is good to know. Tnx tor information…
i tried the game months ago but it made me sick :(
i do not know what was the problem but first i had light head pain and dizzy head after continued to play it i felt i need to throw up so because of this i refundend the game. If it was fixed, i would totaly love to play this game. Mostly very old games are the only ones that i am not able to watch others play or to play them myself like example old dooms and old star wars dark forces game. Bit this game does not look like this kind of games so no clue...
Sorry to hear that. You can try switching the view to another perspective.
The maintenance stat kills the game. I loved it until I added 1 too many villagers, then the game became a chore. The villagers are more hassle than they're worth. Nothing is automated properly. This is Micro-Managment: The Game.
Thank you for your feedback. The game will be more balanced with 1.0 release.
Ps4 ?
It's not yet confirmed.
Sexy war.
What about continuing the dynasty? So children
Yes, that's planned.
Lost me at souls like. Not everyone like anything souls like.
Souls-lite not like
Thank you souls like I would have avoided playing
@@eldwinartarian2350
It's just an inspiration for the combat; you can completely skip it if you want.
