I just started to play the game and felt overwhelmed at the locations of where I could build my village. Saw your video and it let me thought on where to build. I'm a sucker for water regions so it was either the seaside or perhaps near rivers. Thank you! Your video will help me decide the pros and cons of each locations. Great tip for new players as well and how to build some money. Never thought about those seashells.

Glad to help! I know I felt the same way when I did the beta for this update. I can build anywhere…well….where’s any good?! Then I got mauled by wolves in the spot I wanted. I figured this would be something others would run into and I’m glad the video helps!
Seaside and waterside is my favorite as well. I will end up building by the lake and seaside in my play through.

What you mentioned with the wood is the same with the mine now. You can add there a second workstation too and can collect ore or clay no matter where your village is. I hope they were doing it just for now, to make things easier a bit, because now you can just choose any place with no challenges. The unlock/ dynasty system is better now and I hope it will be soon more content. If you had done a village before the patch, you at level 12 in one year (basic setting 4 days per season) and just waiting that the projects be done and nothing to do.

So true! I ended up playing and completing the version before the Kinsugi update and really had nothing left to do. The projects were, just like you said, all I had to look forward to. It’s nice that we can get wood from anywhere and mined resources as well! It does make it oddly unnecessary to actually mine except in the early early game.
I am a little nervous that it will be too easy to get money and villagers too fast and the progression will be broken. At this point I think I found a way to max out in year one or two without using any fast crafting…
How has your new plaything been going?

@@KeenFool Sounds similar to yours. I’m in the second year of Summer now and all production buildings are done. Just waiting for the special projects but will probably stop soon, because there is no point. I’m already in the second village because of the building limitation of 30 per village. Still have the feeling the productions steps are too small for the NPC in the smithy or brewery to make use of them. The limitations of only four products is there insufficient to use NPC. Same with the farming. Only one field per NPC with one product. To use a lot different, the seed bags are really limiting the options too because for production of it is not possible in a good way via NPC. So in the end you will keep it simple in a system like that. The whole Jobinterface needs still a big overhaul too. I guess they do wanted to make it different then in MD but it is to simple to keep up with the good idea of different Woods or a lot of different plants and needs that come up with more villiagers. It still early access but as they said it will take one year that will never happen in this short time. The fighting feels poor because there is no weapon feedback. The Family part is missing completely still, no farm animals, the skill system, the shrines and a lot more. If you compare that to other games and they said they are a small team, 2 years from now would be even not easy to achieve.

@@Chris-xr4gh I feel the same way. It’s hard to justify the villagers for anything useful when they can’t produce enough to make them worthwhile and the unlocks don’t feel necessary just yet. Mostly just placeholders. I’m sure they will work on rebalancing, I hope there will be some surprises as new additions.

Thanks for the tip, I never thought of adding a second work station to my wood cutting buildings

It’s sooo helpful! I am always building a lot and logs run out fast. That and the firewood needs of the villagers. It adds up fast!

Hey mate! Thanks for taking the time to put out these helpful videos. I didn't get the game yet but I have interested in this one. If I start playing it soon I will definitely remember that seashell tip. It seems incredibly clever and helpful

Which is your favorite? As you already know, I like seaside 2 specifically. However…I also really like lake for the ice…but that’s since I have not really done the ice harvesting just yet.

can confirm as of posting this, you do NOT need a wood storage for the woodworking to...work, i think you just need the general

@@bahamut12th That you for confirming! General storage is the only one you really need at first. The others help later for automation.

Alright! Glad you are trying the game out. I’ve had some fun, that’s for sure. You could check out my new episode 1 of the “Fenix” series. I restart from scratch and build over old Sosogi. I will get a quick welcome and quick tips video out as soon as I can. I want to give people a good start quick! Seashells, that’s my short answer. Seashells and do the quests in Sosogi and rebuild Sosogi (burned village). It is a great tutorial!

i dont get how this game gets such bad reviews compared to medeival dynasty.
    same company makes them.
so is this like the neglected step child?

    • @KeenFool
      @KeenFool  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

I think people are expecting it to be at the same level at Medieval Dynasty right away. It really is too bad, it’s a great start to a game and it is really early in its development! I think it’s got great potential, just needs some rebalancing. Have you been enjoying it so far?
