Yeah it was a late nineties early 2000s trend they started doing it because fake new eras started circulating so it became a trend to say you had a valid one . The sticker is for size purposes and the underbrim sticker it's just a branding thing
if you don’t like that look the better method is steaming the brim and bending it around a water bottle or smth and holding for 15-30 seconds depending on how you like the brim. puts direct pressure on the inside of the brim so the wrinkling isnt an issue.
