Great video Joe. But I’m a little confused on how you got an angle of 3.75 degrees on 72 Segments? I get 2.5 degrees on 72 segments. I use a wedge board as well that is used with closed segments. So how do you figure the spacing for open segments? That is probably the difference why you get the 3.75 degrees and I don’t. Help me understand the spacing calculation. Thank you and I Love your bowl..Outstanding!
Hi again Joe, I have a question for you. On your lathe you have two very long flexible poles holding the dust extractor hood and one other pole holding the lathe work light. I have searched the internet looking for work lights with very long flexible posts but can only find short ones. Have you made these yourself ? If you have purchased them from a third party would you mind passing on a link to the business website. I hope all is well with you and you are busy making another video. I’m glad you took my advise and made that workshop tour video. You have some awesome equipment in your shops and very well laid out. All the very best, Yours Ricky
Hi Ricky, the lathe dust extractor was part of a system I purchased from Wood Turners Wonders but I believe they sell it as a standalone. Here is a link to the system woodturnerswonders.com/collections/lathe-track/products/complete-lathe-track-system.
