    Burr was right. I also think that this is what happens when you surround yourself with yes-people. You get that echo chamber where everybody agrees with you and nobody challenges you and next thing you know, you're telling Variety that the writers on your show suck. Her manager should have squashed that out of the gate. Like somebody else mentioned here, she also did the same thing with Knocked Up. Never bite the hand that feeds you. Never burn a bridge. Just keep moving forward to better things. Then at the end of your career, THEN you write the tell-all and shit on everybody.

    • @laurocoman
      @laurocoman ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. Killing the momentum on the projects YOU ARE ALREADY IN is bad for everyone. Dozens of people if not hundreds were involved in Grey's Anatomy and Knocked Up and they needed them to succeed for further sindication. You are basically telling future employers "the whole thing better be good or I'm gonna take a dump on you on national television right away!" Look at Pattinson taking a dump on Twighlight or half of the people involved in Blade: Trinity or Batman & Robin. The deed is done and you can look back at it more openly when there is no one to be harmed. It's just selfish to take a dump on a project that could still be successful when so many people depend on it... and IT GAVE YOU MONEY.

Being on short notice they grabbed Weaving because he would not only follow direction but could put life into a character with no face and almost no back story.

One producer was quoted as saying he had multiple script proposals on his desk at that moment that Heigl would have been perfect for but the consensus among executives was she wasn't worth the aggravation, holding up projects with complaints, demanding the best rooms in hotels as if she was a veteran A-list box office star. .

      You're absolutely correct in pointing out she is hardly destitute or finished in the industry. But if you recall how she was being trumpeted as the next IT GIRL around 2008, like Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock in the 1990's, and Jennifer Lawrence 5-6 years ago, it's equally clear she has fallen well short of the predictions. After Knocked Up, she seemed to have Hollywood in her hand, able to demand huge salaries for movies. In the past four years, she has done sleep aid and kitty litter commercials, which I highly doubt she saw in her future a decade ago.
      After a decade of ridicule and people feeling Schadenfreude over her self-inflicted difficulties, I think fair-minded people should root for her climbing back to A-List status, IF she and her Momager have ditched the diva routine on sets. It would make a great cautionary tale for young actors/actresses, with a happy ending. She isn't without good attributes, adopting children and actively involved in animal rescues/rights.

    To be fair, the season she turned down an Emmy run, they had already ruined her character on the show. And with the Knocked Up thing, it was just her with a bunch of 20-something guys who were all friends and made really gross jokes constantly and it made her really uncomfortable.

    I'm reading so many of these comments, and just feeling sick to my stomach man. It's honestly so scary and disappointing how easy it is for people to trash someone from behind a screen. Thats just sad. Thousands of people just up and deciding the worth of a person without having really taken any time to recognize their humanity therefore their imperfection. Just to write them off because of any and every superficial reason you could come up with. It's a shame really. Ya'll don't know her and have not been in her shoes... whether they're Gucci or hand-me-down shouldn't matter. I'm so tired of jaded bitter people trashing someone because they have money or they're famous. They're still people. And if you had any self-respect, you'd be above hating on someone for such petty reasons. They have lives that sometimes rock and sometimes suck like the rest of us. Wanna talk about someone not thinking about how their words impact people...the freaking irony is outrageous.
    Imagine if a shyt ton of strangers decided you weren't worthy of compassion or respect or happiness because you did or said something they felt was irreproachable. I mean look, there are mistakes made that are so far over the line of what's right and wrong that a struggle for forgiveness or empathy is understandable. This is not that. If as an actor she felt she wasn't worthy of nomination based on her work, whether due to performance or writing or both, that's absolutely within her right to feel that way. And as a free citizen it's her right to express that. And the fact that she was willing to act on that and not want to win as a popularity contest, but rather for her talent and effort, I think is fair and the decent thing to do. There have been plenty of actors that have admitted some of their work felt disappointing to them. Sometimes for their performance and sometimes because the writing sucked... And as we've all seen so much lately writing can definitely suck. That show is not perfect, it's had its ups and downs like all things. Even the best actor can only do so much with less than stellar material. Also, if it was an ego thing, are ya'll really going to act like Katheirne Heigl is the only one to ever make a potentially bad decision based on ego... Those without fault please step forward and throw the first stone...🤨😒😑

    Katherine Heigl was a successful model and actress since she was a teenager so she always had a very high opinion of herself, being catered to and complimented since age 14. She's well known for badmouthing just about every costar and colleague she's worked with from Knocked Up to Grey's Anatomy and beyond. She's obviously conceited. Nothing and no one are good enough for her, not even being on a huge hit show and getting Emmy nominations. When she was interviewed on Howard Stern she sounded genuinely surprised that her ignorant, arrogant comments were uncalled for and could have any consequences. She's too self-absorbed to understand that other people exist. Finally she started losing her looks, show business got sick of her crap, and her career has floundered.

    She's still working. Thing is she's not really working in things that you really hear about. I think her last big movie was New Year's Eve. That ensemble movie with Deniro and the like. She'd be good if she got herself into some supporting roles in dramatic movies. Rebuild her career.
