You are very well organized! I recently discovered PKM (personal knowledge management), the CODE and PARA models. Don't know if it will help someone with your level of organization, though. Thank you for the peek into how you use the Supernote. I just bought one, so it hasn't even shipped yet.
Good video thank you. I was wondering how you made the date hyperlink you show (at around 2.10) without the hyperlink symbol being visible beside the date. Its a lovely discrete way of using the feature. Thanks for the video.
Very informative for people in academia, as a student or faculty member. Just curious if you are still daily driving A5X or tempted by the new version A5X2. I don’t have any and I am unable to decide between A5X and A5X2.
@Ammarsays I don't think they sell the A5X anymore only the upgraded A5X2. I'm using a A5X I bought from someone reselling. There's a good resale market for the devices as many people buy to try them out. I'm happy enough to stick with it especially since Supernote updates their devices with free software upgrades on all devices.
@@ConnerHomesteadyes you are right. New A5X is not available anymore and prices for used ones are still high. I would better save for the new one so I can use it for longer. Thank you once again for your review.
As a fellow faculty member I have a question. My university expects any of our devices with sensitive information to be both password-protected and encrypted. If I understand correctly, there is no way to have onboard encryption for the Supernote. How do you handle student information in terms of privacy expectations?
@sdorn I really only use it to read and write feedback on their work. I do have an attendance sheet on there. I use Google Classroom for grading, communication and other record keeping.
Sorry I am trying to understand the term HOMESTEADER: this is what Google shows: “someone who goes to live and grow crops on land given by the government, especially in the past.” Is this the context you mean it in? EDIT: The above is the Cambridge dictionary definition. I see there is also a Wikipedia definition. Is this what you mean by Homesteader? “Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by subsistence agriculture, home preservation of food, and may also involve the small scale production of textiles, clothing, and craft work for household use or sale.”
I'm a PhD student you literally just gave me great ideas for organization thank you!!!
@@isaacstrings910 Glad to help!
Congrats on tenure. That's a big deal. I hope you celebrated. (This from a retired full prof who remembers the grind.)

This looks awesome, and congrats on getting tenure!
I've been looking at getting a digital notebook. I'll have to check into this one. Thanks for posting.
This was great! Thanks!

@SpikedSilver there are different levels to homesteading but the 2nd definition is closer to what we do.
