They call him "씨" or in english Mister is actually a formal and polite way to call someone you just know/met. It's normal in Korea. If they call someone just by name the first time they met, it's consider rude except the both side agree to call each other informally. These MCs known as humble MC in Korea, they never meant to hurt his feeling.
