I have one cat that doesn't really meow, idk why. I knew that they meow only to humans so it was weird at first but slowly I just started understanding what she wanted, I could guess what's on her mind and now it's so normaln that it's weird when she meows 😂 sometimes when she goes outside to potty she'll let out faint cute sound and I find it adorable. When she's hungry she'll purr and other cat that I have is a screamer when she's hungry but chill usually 🥰

As said they rarely " meow" to other adult cats but they still do i have 6 cats and when its "heat" time for them they starte " meowing" to call other cats while looking for them also i m saying this cuz i can barely sleep cuz half of the neighborhood cats start meowing in my garden calling out my cats
My cat died after 2days of my dad's death she was with us when i was young, my brother likes animals and he found her in the road so he bring her home😊 my mom was so against of it because they pooped etc. but ended up taking good care of our cat my mom even give her a bath everyday and she made her a necklace so nobody would take her whenever she's outside a lot of our neighbour notice her she's soo beautiful with her white furr one of our neighbour keep asking my mom if they can take her but my mom said "no and don't even think of taking her" i miss my cat and my parent's so much they're all gone😔
Omg Ive had cats since I was a baby and Ive never noticed it ! Come to think of it ive never seen them do regular meows at each other, only the aggressive hissing, mating sounds and parent-child meows.

I think they do meow at each other. Cuz our cats here from the neighborhood, their meowing at each other like their talking especially at night 😏😆
