In the original “Stay out of the Basement”book, the clone is killed when the real father slices him in half with an axe, revealing the clone’s stem body.
I never read the book but I wonder why they changed the ending? Also there was something about the ending that I always wanted to know: Did Margaret kill her real father or a clone as in the last scene her brother heard whisper voices saying that "they" are his real father?
@@harlanmilleret905 They changed it to the clone getting killed by being sprayed by herbicide because the original ending involved someone getting hacked by an axe, which is probably something kid shows aren’t allowed to show to younger audiences. Also, the daughter did kill the clone, not her real father. The ending was meant to show that there were other clones of her father starting to grow from plants.
@@TheDragonman104 Oh but it was still really interesting episode I like it. I wish I could find all the original 67 books but they are hard to find. I do have a few books but I really would like to have as part of my collection
Yeah, I think as an adult I find the premise kind of strange but the ending surprised me. I was shocked when I saw it the first time since I didn't think they would show something like that in Goosebumps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! - Zach
The books were fun, PG, kid friendly material, but the show, ohhh, the show. This show gave me nightmares for months at a time. Some of the scariest ones were "It's not a kid's toy!" and "Be carefull of what you wish for!".
I forgot about these "deaths." In the Stay Out of the Basement episode did Margaret actually kill her "real father" or was it a clone as in the very final scene shows whisper voices letting her brother that he's their "real father"
There is some people died in Goosebumps The werewolf of Fever Swamp,A night in Terror Tower,Welcome to dead house the ghost next door let's get invisible and werewolf skin
Thanks for watching! Are there any other deaths in Goosebumps that I didn't mention?

Actually there is an explanation. Turns out the parents are higher on the Monster food chain than Mortman. She didn't get her fangs till puberty
You forgot the swamp hermit from The Werewolf of Fever Swamp. The werewolf got him.
Glad it was offscreen

The "Old Story" scene terrified me when I was 6.

This show should've been tv-ma.
The Old Story was pretty cringe especially with the fact these Old women were gonna marry them
It was unsettling. But chillogy is more weird than an old story.
