I have always love it when a video is narrated while they are doing the crafting. There is something about the sound of the crafting makes you feel like you are there.
I love the beautiful, delicate results I get when foiling with my BetterPress press plates. I often foil them onto colored cardstock for quick, clean, and elegant cards. Personally, I don't love to color floral images so this fixes that issue. I never once thought to foil on white and color the background. I'm going to give that a try! Thanks for the lovely inspiration!
Yana, you do such beautiful work. The detailing you add to the flowers is amazing and inspiring. That press plate is my new favorite even though I haven't purchased any. I always learn new techniques from your videos. Thanks!
Lovely card and interesting to see you color over different colors to make such a major change. A little choppy compared to your regular edited videos but I'm sure you'll master that soon.
what a beautiful card. I love the longer video as I like hearing your design process. I thought from seeing the card on IG that the background was black! so pretty
I love this video format. I love seeing your creative process. Changing the background to a darker colour makes the flowers so much more beautiful. I love that you have been using dark backgrounds. The effect is very dramatic and I just love that look.
What a difference the green in the background made as opposed to the peach. I love this card. Just stunning and thanks for all the tips and techniques that you taught us.
Absolutely gorgeous, Yana. Foiling is my favorite way to use betterpress plates, I hardly ever use them with ink as intended! I enjoyed hearing you talk through your process in this style of video.
Beautiful card. Absolutely love your dramatic card style. Couldn't help but notice your fish sheet with your colour Combos. Could you share that with us? :) Or have you already and I missed it?
Thank you so much! The fish Copic chart is soooo old lol. I just used a stamp from Simon Says Stamp to make it. I need to re-do it, so maybe I do that in one of my future videos 💚
Love this video Yana! This card is beyond words. Wow! I have to get this plate and sentiments plate/dies, when I have saved enough. I was so on the fence about getting the betterpress letterpress. After watching all the experimenting with different ways to use the press plates (can use for foiling) etc..I saved. I do love the spellbinders betterpress letterpress paper (that was on my Christmas wish list) Thanks so much for the creative process (narrative) in this video for this fabulous card. Also I really want to try olos. Im just not sure how or what colors to buy combinations etc...Do you have suggestions, so that I can get the most colors/combos that will get the best bang for the buck. Thanks again so much Yana. You astound me with your talent. Love and hugs!
Awww, thank you so much! I'm glad you are considering BetterPress. It is a fantastic system 💚 Plus, Spellbinders has BetterPress registration coming, which is a method of doing plates alignment for multi color results. As for OLOs, do you have Copic Markers? If yes, I'd look for any gaps you have in your Copic collection and would fill the gaps with OLOs. If you don't have any Copics (or any other alcohol markers), I'd start with a floral set (punks, yellow, greens). This is something I'd use a lot.
Great informative video Yana! Love you mix alcohol marker companies. Your fishy color chart is too cute! Is that something you would have on your blog?
Awww, thank you! The fishy chart is years old, I made it by stamping the Simon Says Stamp fish image and coloring it. I don't have a pdf. I do need to re-do it, so maybe I can do that and do a simple pdf as well
i did not realize you could foil the better press plates. How do you do that? i have ignored the better press trend as i don’t want another machine i had to get a new die cut machine to do the foiling with the hot foil system. Since all i had was a cuttlebug so i not really wanting to jump on another trend now if i could use them in my hot foil system that a nother story.
To foil with press plates, just use them in exactly the same way you’d use a standard hot foil plate. I’ve found they actually give better foiling results than hot foil plates!
Exactly! You don't even need the BetterPress system, if you don't want to press with plates. Use BetterPress plates as if you are using Glimmer plates.
I have always love it when a video is narrated while they are doing the crafting. There is something about the sound of the crafting makes you feel like you are there.
I agree! And I too love to watch these, although they usually tend to be a little longer. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, thank you 💚💐💚

Beautiful card, and I enjoyed this format, and I didn't notice any distracting noises in the background!
Yay, thank you! I appreciate your feedback 💚

I'm so glad! I'll probably be doing more of these videos, this format is faster, so I should be able to get more content shared 💚🤩💚

Beautiful!😍
Beautiful card. You are amazing. Can you tell me what magnetic mat you have, and how big it is? I’ve been looking for one.
Such a gorgeous card
Gorgeous as always!
Thank you!! 😊
So amazing!!
Gorgeous card! Where did you find the charts for copic?
The fish one? I made it myself. I need to update it, so maybe I do that and share it in a video soon 💚
❤

What color was that orange Faber-Castell pencil I couldn’t read it on the video?
