I don’t have but have but 2 handfuls of tubers I follow. Only 1 handful of hero’s. You (and Matt) are on the short list! So impressed with y’all. Thank you for making your audience happy!!😊

Its a small world I live about 10 minutes from where you picked up that mack, then you pull into your place and I thought I've been there. About 10 years ago we replaced a gas line on the other side of road from your shop and we parked in your lot, was working for Alex Paris with Dave and Shawn D. Keep up the videos great work
Downtown Pittsburgh, I hate going through there in a car, if you're not in West Virginia you're awfully close. That's a very cool Mack I always wanted a b model myself.
if you go to Macungie there will be an A model there with a Cummins swapped in. Look for a red A model with no body. He did a really nice job including the addition of an over drive to make it more road worthy. Someone posted that Mack stopped the A models in 53. That is correct for the most part, but they did build six A model fire trucks in 1956 for customers on Long island. No idea how or why, but the aforementioned truck was serial number 1 of those trucks.
That truck sounds awesome and this build is gonna be sweet! I collect Reo's and Diamond Reos and i have a 48 Reo speedwagon i wanna cummins swap its a first for me that I recognize the roads your on lol
I just love hearing the Turbo whistle. Looks like Hunting season...and you find time for new projects... Good on you brother. I am amazed the locations and roads you travel you and (Matt) Diesel Creek travel in PA.
Love your super liner v8 put the aussie style chrome caps on drive but leave front as it is looks good with no cap ,, noticed the aussie style exhaust tips ,, looks good sounds better 🤪
I know they've built Mack trucks in Oz for a long time - is the A40 style Mack one of the models they made in the Australian Mack factory or was it just the later models?
I don’t know who’s motor is in your Mack but l always know when the motor is a V-8! I have never seen or heard of a Mack having a V-8 but your rig deffinately has one!
Hey Sam in our Country New Zealand if we have Oil spilling on the deck tray and it fall onto the road we get a fine as it is class as dangerous discharge load which can cause accidents
Yeah I like that old green machine , that mack could have a cab and bonnet lift done and fit the V8 and 9 spd box and cut sick with restoring it great truck and all the bones are there pretty much
New subscriber recommended by diesel creek 👍🏼 Seen your tidy trucks in his videos Give us some commentary as you’re driving along, information on your trucks etc? Look forward to more videos👍🏼🇬🇧
She’s a Keeper, I’m Liking what you got going Sam, Damned Shame I South Centra Pa. & not a Bit closer. I would Love to get to Youins’s Local Steam Show One Year. While The Good Lord still gives Me the Strength to Keep going
Well that's cool there was a b model Mack about 3 miles down the road did I look that one time but it was too much decayed away up here in southwestern Ontario we use a lot of salt but that would have been a good road tractor to restore
My first time here Scrappy . Found you through Diesel Creek. I like your Macks , Im a '53 model myself . When I was young , the world was populated with The B series Macks . Im originally from NE Ohio . What engine would the A40 have had originally ?
Route 28 blows. That must have been a Sunday. Any other day, the Pittsburgh crazies would be playing NASCAR on that stretch of road and making it miserable.
You have one of the greatest trucks ever aMack with the E9 we had 4 of the E9s when I worked in maintenance shop for a rigging and heavy hauling co.inlee n.h.years ago ronrdzl
I wonder if you can write that off of your taxes as a non-profit dog rescue?? LOL You should see if you can get the old 6-71 Detroit from Matt, that would be the perfect engine for the old dog!
Thats what i was thinking i took a gold dog off a wrecked Mack in the eighties and it was all Mack but i was told by a Mack guy that the chrome was all Mack. thanks @@nickmatoic9096
I have heard of peer pressure, but never Matt pressure. Could maybe suggest a better group of friends, but don't think you really could find better than someone like that.
That would make a real fun project! I enjoyed the ride through Pittsburgh even though it made me homesick. Thanks for the ride.
Congratulations Scrappy , you went from 99 to no 2 show this week . Keep it up. Alberta,Canada
Thank you!
Never saw so many 90° turns in my life!
Came here from diesel Creek I just had to hear a bit more of that amazing mack!
Great video Sam,peace out…
Mack Attack! 😎👍
Looks like a little pup on the back of the super dog👍
The super dog seems to steel the show, the new Mack looks to be a nice little truck. Thanks for Sharing.

One good thing about the engine and trans leaking is it will preserve your deck boards.👍
Thats what i thought lol

1953 was the last year the A models were manufactured, replaced by the B models, the truck that really put Mack on the map.
Nice addition !
Thanks!
Wow it is a very nice looking Mack.!!

I was watching and thought wait a minute I know that area ! I live in a town off of 28, north of Pittsburgh. Great stuff!
I just love hearing the Turbo whistle. Looks like Hunting season...and you find time for new projects... Good on you brother. I am amazed the locations and roads you travel you and (Matt) Diesel Creek travel in PA.
I love watching videos where I recognize the areas where you got the truck and drove through. Looks like the truck wasn't too far from my home area.
Thanks for the cool ride in the Mack… That was awesome!
now that is a loading flat top love the trailer sam as well as yor tractor units
Reminds me of my dad back in the fifties. Fond memories

Great video great restorable Mack thanks Sam for sharing
My first truck I drove was a early sixties model B-61 Mack, Now that was a truck!
Been through the Fort Pitt tunnel many times on the way to Cheswick Recognized the bridges on the approach.

Lol idk what all it’s gonna take to be driving
@@ScrappyIndustries im not sure how far im going to have to go into the Autocar engine
This looks an interesting project bro, liked the video too. Safe travels. Ken.
Happy you got this! I see the potential!!
That dude needs 6cta crummins, little 24v ain't enough imo, cool find regardless. Love the Superliner, I came from Matt's and subbed. Cheers!
You gota love the sound of a V8 Mack. Your LTL is missing the four driving lites in the bumper
wow, I've grown up in Glenfield p.a. off of I-79 and Route 65, and now live in Florida ,poik county
Hey Sam in our Country New Zealand if we have Oil spilling on the deck tray and it fall onto the road we get a fine as it is class as dangerous discharge load which can cause accidents
That Stack bridge look alot like a bridge in Southern Connecticut.
Was hoping to see Matt in the video saying "If you don't buy it i will" lol
A nice Detroit 238 would be real nice in that old Mack. Frank Bryant contractor's they also had the sand and gravel place on the south side.
I hope that was a one way back road you were on. That was some narrow road you were on.
Mack pulling a Mack 👍
great job congrads
Awesome, I just subscribed and I hope to see as much video of this project as you can possibly upload. 🙂
Thanks! I have footage from getting it running I need to get editing!
Turn that CB up so we can hear it. That first Ol’ boy had an echo board. Sounded good and loud!
sweet old bulldog!
Yeah I like that old green machine , that mack could have a cab and bonnet lift done and fit the V8 and 9 spd box and cut sick with restoring it great truck and all the bones are there pretty much
Phew that would we one tight fit lol But it would be awesome! I do have a spare E9...
@@ScrappyIndustries spare E9 hey well ,,, in she goes after the lifting , she'd be different and be great truck to look at doing the sled pull

1st time watching love this very interesting
Tiny PA roads like an English xtrysid!
Can’t imagine driving that truck on that narrow road.
Cheers.
You got another Jewel but there is no room in the passenger side for the wife if you carry a lunch box LOL😊😊
Please do a walk around of ur super dog n super nice ride
Will do!
Frank Bryan still runs green Macks!
Beautiful Mac Truck do you still have it in your fleet
A OK ITS A MACK //GO GO first love B-61 green Mack
When are you going to finish the A model. Been waiting for more videos.
I agree it’s coming. This winter I’m gonna hit it hard
The Super Dog is really cool but I"m a Ford guy so more on the Big Ford if you don't mind.
Did you get the flat head motor id put that in be4 the Cummins lol
Great content. Got a new subscriber:)
I owned an A 30 mack that had a gravel box on it .
Sweet! im hoping to put a dump bed on this truck
While your doing the rebuild, are you going to stick in an Edison Motors drive train? That would be cool.
I would have got claustrophobia in one of those cabins I was always use to internationals that was like driving a house

Did I watch a video of you adding a wetland to the Ford? enjoy video
Sam tell me something, why is it raining ever time you move something
Can see that old green mack with the mighty E9V8
I can hear the red whistler !
my dad liked LTL mack’s he had 2 of them a 52 and 54
Oooo I love those trucks. My grandpa had an LTH that I learned to drive on.
What size are those front tires
Hey Scrappy! First visit to your channel, like both of your Macks...the 53, a mechanical restoration or?
What's the difference between the gold bulldog and the chrome bulldog.
The gold bulldog is genuine mack and the silver bulldog is not
Thats what i was thinking i took a gold dog off a wrecked Mack in the eighties and it was all Mack but i was told by a Mack guy that the chrome was all Mack. thanks @@nickmatoic9096
you tring to challenge Matt to get back on the Autocar ? 😀 lol looks strange no leaves in july
tires need air
Around here we call those "roads" cow paths. Good grief barely one lane
3:36 never stand in target range of a winch line. if that snaps, you're cut in two.
WTH they made it an automatic?
Man your trucks are nice. What year are they?
Thanks! The Superliner is a 92 and the Ford is an 87

Call project
I know that skyline
See she's a gold bull dog ,, means she's all mack
She sure is
Not an E9 please,an END 673 E would be onough witha TRT 670 gearbox would suit me just fine.
Lol i dont think either would fit very sell shes tight. The 5.9 Cummins should do just fine. Even it is a tight squeeze.
I wouldn't want to drive a truck and trailer through down town.
It’s not too terrible here usually someone will help you merge
