He had a massive near fatal stroke. After a stroke you have roughly a year to two years of rehabilitation to get you to the best point that you’re going to be at for the rest of your life. It’s been eight years since his massive stroke which did a significant amount of brain damage. That’s the type of stroke that you don’t come back from usually and when you do you are never the same. We are seeing him at the best he will ever be for the rest of his life unfortunately

Hi Randy, I am so happy to see you have recovered well. I'm praying that Dr Jesus will restore your healthfully. I am praying and cannot wait to hear you sing again. Amen 👋👋👋
I was a kid when my mom would throw in a Randy Travis tape and listen to it over and over again, while we would driving in the car. I'm 41 years old now. Randy Travis is still and always will be my favorite country artist of all time. Randy's voice and songs are timeless. When my grandfather passed I used lyrics from his song. He walked on water in my grandfather's eulogy. I started tearing up when Randy surprised Kane Brown in a TH-cam video I saw while he was singing Three wooden crosses. At least once a week I play the Randy Travis playlist on my phone on the speakers throughout my house. And now and again my heart rides the range with my heroes and Friends. Randy's music has always been such a big part of my life. Randy's music has always been there for me through the good times and the hard times. Last year my girlfriend had a chance to go to the country music Hall of Fame in Tennessee. I begged her take lots of pictures of Randy to Travis exhibit bring me back Randy Travis stuff. I was furious when all she said there was was one little brass monument sign. For one of the greatest country artists..

I'm a 45yr old son of West Indian parents that grew up in a town north of Toronto Ontario. At family parties when I was younger, we'd play everything from Disco, to rock, to reggae and country and whenever "Digg'n Up Bones" and "I'm Gonna Love U Forever" came on, EVERYONE was dancing, young and old!! Thank U Mr.Travis! Your deep baritone voice is part of the soundtrack to my amazing upbringing!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎶🎶🎶

While I agree, I do not see it medically possible to recover his beloved voice , unfortunately

1982 and “before you kill us all” are probably my two favorite Randy Travis songs

He will always be my favorite singer.. he has been my favorite singer since I was a little girl and I love all his songs.. I use to tell everyone he was my husband when I was little. I am 38 now and still tell people he is my husband
Saw him in Vegas shortly before his stroke. So much fun. He came up close to the front was like a jam session with all his old song. Guess you could say up close and personal. So much fun! 🥰🙏🏻❤️

I was driving a semi years ago around Nashville TN. I went in a truck stop and there Randy was. Talking to everyone. Having a great time just being himself.
