I've been wanting a RAV4 for quite some time and I have been driving a 2010 Corolla CE for the last 15 years (Test drove at 6 kms, took ownership at 24 kms, currently at 229,000 with very little maintenance costs since possession) I think my perspective of not having a model with some kind of a ICE element would either make me look towards a used model rather than being limited to a full electric option.. Waiting to see what the 2026 model brings from a overall standpoint.
Any word about the new type of battery that Toyota is working on? It’s a solid state battery. There is a lot of information on the Internet about it and it sounds promising.
We own two Rav 4 Primes 2021 What I have learned living in Utah were winters have temps in the teens that I do not want a full EV Cold weather zaps battery range by 25%
Why would a RAV4 EV be priced at $60 K when the BZ is under $50 K? Also, market pricing for EV’s is dropping. To be successful it would need to start under $45 K.
I just got my new 2025 RAV4 Hybrid LIMITED, but two things are bugging me. First, the gas mileage is awful - only 9.6l/100km (24.6 MPG) in the city, which is way low, maybe cuz of the -10 degree weather and only 160km on the odometer. Second, the heater's weak; it's slow and doesn't get hot enough, any ideas why??
Given the choice, would you prefer the name RAV4 or BZ4X? I think enough people have said they hate the BZ4X as a name. Also, I own one and feel that way.
@ I’m planning to buy a RAV4 hybrid because I don’t have a garage and there is limited vehicle charging locally (the nearest charging facility is 30 minutes away). So even if they made an electric RAV4 it would be no use to me. But that doesn’t change the fact that an electric RAV4 would compete directly with the bZ4X, why would Toyota sell two very similar cars in the same market? As far as the name goes, who cares? It’s the functionality I care about.
How about toyota get their head out of the government pleasing tail of carbon credits. We the people don't buy full electric! I own a 2024 Rav4 prime xse, and that's as far as I'll get to full electric
“We the people”?! You know the USA isn’t the only country that buys Toyota cars though right? Toyota is a Japanese company and they sell cars all around the world. Most are not electric, but they will likely all by hybrids or plug-in hybrids going forward. Why anyone would want a less fuel efficient and more polluting car over a hybrid is beyond me. It’s bizarre.
I like my hybrid, but have no interest in an EV. Aside from the range anxiety from owning an EV, I've heard rumors of possible health issues due to close proximity to intense electric fields in EV's with large batteries. Like so many other new technologies, we really have no idea of the long-term effects on our health. More research is needed.

Find one used and private. Avoid dealers.
Just get a hybrid. Problem solved.

I would love a Toyota RAV4 full EV but with the same RAV4 Prime design. That would be fire!
Hybrid ok, full electric no thanks
Bingo
for Canada weather the hybrid is the solution all electric not so much
i love my 2024 rav4 hybrid xle.
Larger vehicles allows for more battery space but if you wanted to push EV before solid state comes out, I’d think Prius or Camry make more sense.
Once solid-state comes out, all vehicles will have an EV option and I’d argue that most hybrids will be PHEV
EV's have several problems, range anxiety, massive depreciation, higher insurance rates, poor winter range, tires, 40%+ will return to ICE.
How long have you owned one? Which model ?
Maybe a solid state battery 🤔
Thank god I bought a '25 ICE rav. I absolutely dont want a hybrid or electric. Toyota please bring back NA models.
@@rickp6391 nice work Rick! 👍
Nothing worse than great gas mileage! Good for you!
Why wouldn’t you want a hybrid? It’s a proven system and is more fuel efficient.
I would never drive an electric vehicle as my personal vehicle

If that is true, you’ve got major problems, unless you’re travelling uphill perpetually in a freezing environment.
Milage has nothing to do with it.
What did your sales agent in your country say.
Is there really a need for an electric RAV4 given that’s basically what the bZ4X is?!

@@davidp.4727 Or were you suggesting an electric RAV4 replace the bZ4X completely?
@@ffotograffydd will likely be on the same platform as the RAV4 is going to just be a refresh anyway.
i got RAV 4 plug in high bird i don’t mind fully electric if they make it
Not easy to get it ,first year model maybe waiting 2years !!

@@ffotograffyddI chuckled at We The People. Is Toyota part of the U.S. constitution? I missed that part 🤣
Rip the bZ4X badge off and slap a RAV4 badge on, and you've got your eletric RAV4
Waiting for a V8 rav4
A miracle from god might happen.
Around Toronto pearson international there's a hydrogen fuel station been built, i wouldn't mind a fuel cell powered rav4. 😅
I hate lithium ion batteries only 1000 charges and to expensive. If they put a lmfp battery in the rav4 electric I will buy.
It's going to be a little wider I have more electric power 🙄
The pressure is coming from China electric vehicles

Bedtime Grandpa. 🥱
Cannonball Run is on 📺
Read the stats, millions own EV’s around the world.
Are you a human.
Toyota have no choice they have to built fully electric car because every country will mandate they have to follow the rules thanks
They already have the bZ4X that’s practically the same car, so they won’t need to, but might chose to. I doubt it though.
