Every guy that has ever steped on an olympia stage is a great bodybuilder. Regardless of the placing. And being on the olympia stage during the early 90s was a feat in itself.

Because he doesn't want to leave out anyone he felt, made a major contribution to bodybuilding. Think about it. He helped Ronnie become 8 time Mr Olympia. He showed Ronnie how to get into condition for the Olympia. Kevin and all those guys of his era where whooping Ronnie every show before then. He gave Jay the pep talk to be confident and go win the Olympia. Him, flex, shawn, and chris would battle show after show and they respected the hell out of each other. They were doing 8-9 shows a year in the 90's. That is unheard of these days.

Darn, I am getting old. I grew up with all these guys besides Arnold. Those were the best of times watching all these guys compete against each other. I still got some of my magazines from way back then.
Wow Kevin is humble and gives praise beyond anyone. What a gentlemen. I'm 40 so I wasn't into bodybuilding before Dorian!! So I can't include ppl before him cause I didn't see them. The only one would be arnold. Cause he was so bigger then life! He was all over famous for what he did for the sport and beyond. My favorite is Dorian! He slept ate breathed bodybuilding!! His sheer determination unwavering fortitude and discipline in mind made him my first choice. He didn't party or slack off ever his whole life a that time was bodybuilding and being number 1!! That to me takes the most discipline and I'm amazed at how someone can do that for as long as he did! Just like Kevin says also their are too many that were great and. Made an impact on me as well.
There is a guy that I really like that no one talks about. Luiz Freitas. He had insane training intensity and natural charisma. I saw him on '88. Mr. Olympia documentary "battle for gold" (you can watch it full on youtube).
Great legs, but his upper body never really matched up. His Pro career was extremely short, but yes, he was good. In fact at the time his legs were probably second only to Tom Platz.

For me there's just two: Arnold and Frank Zane. Arnold transformed the game with his professionalism and focus, but bodybuilders didn't look like bodybuilders until Frank Zane showed them what ripped conditioning looked like.

Wow Kevin is humble and gives praise beyond anyone. What a gentlemen. I'm 40 so I wasn't into bodybuilding before Dorian!! So I can't include ppl before him cause I didn't see them. The only one would be arnold. Cause he was so bigger then life! He was all over famous for what he did for the sport and beyond. My favorite is Dorian! He slept ate breathed bodybuilding!! His sheer determination unwavering fortitude and discipline in mind made him my first choice. He didn't party or slack off ever his whole life a that time was bodybuilding and being number 1!! That to me takes the most discipline and I'm amazed at how someone can do that for as long as he did! Just like Kevin says also their are too many that were great and. Made an impact on me as well.
There is a guy that I really like that no one talks about. Luiz Freitas. He had insane training intensity and natural charisma. I saw him on '88. Mr. Olympia documentary "battle for gold" (you can watch it full on youtube).
Great legs, but his upper body never really matched up. His Pro career was extremely short, but yes, he was good. In fact at the time his legs were probably second only to Tom Platz.

For me there's just two: Arnold and Frank Zane. Arnold transformed the game with his professionalism and focus, but bodybuilders didn't look like bodybuilders until Frank Zane showed them what ripped conditioning looked like.
Sergio and Arnold were the 2 best in my opinion.
