Thank you, Mr. Smith! So much inspirational advice on so many interesting topics. With everything sounding crystal clear and to the point. Thanks both of you for this great talk! Love and peace 😇
I can't believe this hasn't had more views. It has to be one of the best interviews of Steve I've ever seen. The interviewer stays out of the way most of the time but asked very good questions. That's rare to see. I felt like I was having a private lesson with Steve sharing a lot of invaluable information. Brilliant stuff!
Thank you for the kind words!!
He is a joyful and inspirational player. Thank you.
I love you Steve
Great interview, Rob. Excellent questions and great insights from Steve.
Wishing you all the best,

Steve Smith is a Genius and always wears the COOLEST shirts....THANK GOD FOR STEVE SMITH! GREAT INSPIRING VIDEO!
He’s the reason I started playing drums at age 10 circa 1979’s Evolution. He’s been my influence my whole life and I’ve been thankful to have spent time with him at various clinics and fantasy camps over the years. Thanks Steve for a lifetime of passion.
Thanks Scott,
I’m glad you dug the interview!
Yes, Steve has been my great mentor in life!!

@@robharttrio thanks rob!
Thank you Steve. Wise words. A master class !
Great drummer, great interview.
Excellent interview, how real to hear about the beginnings of a star and the hard work to get there.
Thank You, both.
Thank you Terrell!!
This interview is a historical documentation of a Legend’s history. Thank you for this!
This is great! Thanks for sharing Steve.
Amazing guy and Steve Perry,👍👍👍🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing interview rob. Steve smith is great
Good interview. Always love to hear from Steve Smith. One sticking point. It is not given that everyone who can read music has a good ear great musicianship. I am not saying reading music is not important. I am simply saying I have met musicians who read music yet can not improvise. They also can not play in any context. These same musicians can not play anything without a sheet. So, it is not an undisputed truth that every musician who can read has a good ear and great musicianship.
this interview is gold !
I am not a drummer, but Steve Smith is one my favorite drummers. Especially when he plays with Vital Information. I found it interesting what he said about practice. I wonder how long neuromuscular coordination lasts.
Hi Albert! That's a very good question! Almost pertains to muscle memory & age!
@@robharttrio Right, I heard another musician say that if he doesn't practice for a couple of days he starts to lose it. I think Jazz guitarist Jimmy Bruno.
That's my problem I don't practice enough I love to just play I'll take on his and my new drum teacher's advice hopefully I can not continue to fall back into not setting time aside so I can improve
Being from Philadelphia….when I hear “trust the process“ I start to convulse
Forget about "chops". That's from the ego. Start thinking about art. Change your path while there is still time.
