- The CATS cast of the 1998 video, what they look like when they do not have their cats makeup on.
For those that didn't know, Bryn Walters plays another cat, other than Macavity - his name is Plato. Im sorry for not displaying this in the video,

A lot of people don't know that Bryn Walters also played as Plato. He wasn't just Macavity.

I think it's interesting that Plato's named Admetus in the Viennese production, when both are distinct characters in the movie version. Not only that, but I was surprised to learn that Pouncival and Tumblr brutus also have different names here.
I'm actually working on a production of The Music Man with Michael Gruber ( Munkustrap) right now. One of the nicest, humble and legally and wonderfully insane person I've ever met!

I saw CATS live on broadway as a kid back in the late 80's and it was absolutely mesmerizing! The energy and talent level of the entire cast was off the charts! I still remember sitting up in the upper balcony and watching the actors cat crawling across the ledge over 25ft off the ground floor at the start of the show..
This is the best cast of Cats!!! My all time favorite musical!!!

I remember Rum Tum Tugger being my sexual awakening. As an elementary schooler I used to hide the DVD cover in my school bag because it had a huge pic of him on it 😭😂 I was so obsessed with him and used to watch his musical parts 1000 times in a row. I never told anyone though as even then I felt it was shameful to be so into a guy dressed up as a cat 😂 this entire musical is so sexual I swear all us kids growing up on this are fucked up adults now
I've been watching this since I was 8 years old. I just turned 30. How the heck did I not realize what some of them were doing in the background? LMAO!!!
I watched this for the first time as a 30-year-old bisexual adult and it was so weirdly appealing immediately, lol. Very weird feeling when they're supposed to be cats and you can't stop staring at their asses (although, come on - they all have dancer's asses, you can't NOT stare).
Honestly, though, it's just such a great production. The choreography, the casting, the music, the visuals, the costumes... all flawless. Every cast member is just ridiculously talented.

All the actors and actresses are so talented and beautiful!!!! I think my favorite actress is Jo Gibb, she's adorable, beautiful, and has great dancing skill, she made me fall in love with Rumpleteazer. And I love John Partridge, Jacob Brent, Micheal Grubber so much!!!!
My appreciation of every aspect of this unparalleled production grew 1,000-fold with the release of the unspeakable atrocity of 2019.
They were all such great athletes, just incredible.

I missed out seeing Cats when it was on stage, but loved this film version
Which only lets you appreciate it more when you think that all these guys are responsible for putting all that stuff on themselves.

Bryn Walters also played Plato. Admetus is actually Plato's 2nd name, and the cat often mistakenly called Admetus is actually named George.

Interesting how some of the actors who played more bombastic characters have a look behind their eyes that suggests they have quiet private lives. I hope I'm not the only one who sees it

It's easy to see why they chose Veerle Casteleyn as Jemima to be the cat on so many of the posters and promos. She is absolutely stunning, and the perfect embodiment of the show.
