This cast is 1000 times better than the 2019's Flick!

So my first introduction to what we know as CATS was the 2019 movie, I enjoyed the musical performances and songs, but I couldn’t not for the life of me understand the story, my mom finally told me that there was another musical, I watched some videos explaining the story and how it was created, the problems with the movie and even a video on all the songs and how to movie completely messes it up, I finally found the clips for the broadway musical and I really enjoyed it, there’s really only one song I thought the movie did better, ( which was skimbleshanks) I love the way it sounds and the tap dancing is amazing, but the broadway knocked it out of the park, I actually understood it, I love that there’s no dialogue like the movie, it’s all dancing and or singing, the choreography for not only the actual dancing but the cat like mannerisms were great, I like the actor for old duteronamy, I’d don’t know if this sounds weird but I can only describe his voice as chocolate, it’s deep and rich and just so good, I liked how Victoria was portrayed, not being the sole main character like the movie, but clearly a very important character as she is the only one who really wants to let Grisabella in from the beginning, I would love to own this on dvd, it’d be such a precious possession, I liked the move like I said in terms of the singing and dancing, but it really messes up the story, I literally didn’t know what I had watched after viewing it, and then the visuals, I think they should’ve made it like the broadway and did a movie broadway musical instead of a weird cgi movie, has anyone ever seen the cirque du soleil movie, it’s shot like a movie but the story and performers are on a stage and it’s amazing, I wish I had that on dvd too, they should’ve did that, and gone for stage costumes instead of doing a very bad job at making cgi cat people, and the performers should be opera singers, stage performers, ballerinas, not a bunch of popular actors just to get people to see it, I absolutely love musicals, the movie is enjoyable in that sense but boy the broadway is really something, the fact that I can actually understand it really helps, I was tearing up at some points, I was just blown away, everyone involved in this production should feel so proud, this is just a weird, fun, beautiful work of art

For me, the 1998 version will always be the defining version.

It's easy to see why they chose Veerle Casteleyn as Jemima to be the cat on so many of the posters and promos. She is absolutely stunning, and the perfect embodiment of the show.

Interesting how some of the actors who played more bombastic characters have a look behind their eyes that suggests they have quiet private lives. I hope I'm not the only one who sees it

It's nice to see how much time went into the makeup because on some of these you can't even tell who the actor was

It's very hard finding most of these people in other things. They're all fantastic.

I always knew RTT had to still be hot under all that makeup
