Nice Video! loved your ingenuity on the repair of the bogie, it worked a treat!. Sometimes with this hobby it feels like two steps forward and one step back, but with a bit a perseverance you can get there in the end. Nice to see the loco running at the end with it's proper sound! All the best Tony.

Thanks Tony.Aswe have discussed before, filming it all really slows me down, it it makes me think about what I am doing, and I also get lots of support and feedback from other modellers.

OK, as ever I comment before the video has finished! BTW: Sorry, forgot to wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

Hi Phil. Why didn't you order a replacement for the part on which the bogie pivots when you ordered the motor drives? It would have saved you time and trouble and (probably) would have been inexpensive and you could put it/them in your spares box?

I would love to know where I can order those parts from. I did search.

Use Vaseline for your tripod :)
Great job fixing your class 50 :)
    How hard was that????

Good tip with Vaseline. I had a tub of grease in my cupboard, and so I used that, and it is smooth as silk now :)

Note to self: do not drop Class 50s on the floor.

      ...or any other rolling stock.
Open Frame Construction does rather lend itself to dropping locos on the floor though....
