Thanks Bob. There will be a lot more track to come - there is to be a helix in due course....

Great progress, and some of the finest weights I have seen used!

There were some quality dad jokes about which shops to get the best weights from, but they did not survive the edit.

It’s nice to see you progress along the way, the attention to accuracy and detail is excellent. Looking forward to more updates, cheers for now, John

It is interesting that you chose to have the lower tracks on the inside with high tracks on the outside.

There is a video somewhere on my channel explaining the process ok designing the trackplan.
The right hand riser is an embankment leading up to the bridge, where as the left hand riser will be blended into the landscape that will be higher towards the back of the layout.

Great video again, really interested in how you are getting your s/w 3rd Planit to help you create the base board design to the point where you can print off as templates I am using SCARM which I hope has a similar function, if not I might be changing.. Tx for the great content, Mark

so in 3rd planit you just choose to print the layout in 1:1 scale.
I think I might try to make a video to answer various good questions people have asked me.

the dewalt oscilating tool might been good instead of the saw

one of those is definitely on the Santa list, along with a Dremel tool.

I would like to offer a suggestion to the table saw operations. Your blade only needs to be about one tooth height above what you are cutting. It places most of the blade under your table and away from soft stuff. A miter gauge if you have one or a sliding cross cut jig you could build (seeYT) would work best for the short pieces cuts. The layout is looking good.

I will take all the good advice I can get. I have seen a few videos on how to make various table saw jigs. I think that is the way to go.The guidesthat can with thesawhave far too much play in them.
I do like my method of cut-measure-adjust-finalcut.

@@naivegauge A table sled would allow you to build into the sled the accuracy you need and still allow you to sneak up on that perfect cut. 👍

    Hi,
Its good your getting the main running lines started will be interesting to see how it progresses but I have done this comment because I was on your live stream last night but you have deleted it so will say here on my thoughts do you get better more accurate running when you are not filming or doing live streams if you do it may be that with a lot of your stuff wireless you may be getting inteference from them all which is making iTrains not run well just a thought.
    Cheers Robert.
