- I really liked this game. In fact, so much that I needed to do a remix of one of the game's best tracks called "Tor." Hope you guys like it!
Made in:
FL Studio 5
Watch/listen in high quality:
• Iji (Remar Games) Tor ...
Original Music Composed by Chris Geehan & Dan Byrne-McCullough ( www.hyperduck.c... )
15 years ago... aged like fine wine.
This is godlike. Cinematic.
I've already commented on this like 3 times saying it is awesome. But another won't hurt. It's awesome.
Heylo Iji soundtrack lovers, I just posted a video response to Chris Geehans & Dan Byrne-McCulloughs next soundtrack project. Go check it out, show us some support!
This mix is still probably one of my most favored songs, ever. I may have not played Iji yet (I really need to), but this rendition of Tor's theme has a lot of emotion in it. The combination of traditional and electronic instruments work extremely well together.
It makes me think of a situation where someone had challenged an ancient mech to a duel. It accepts the challenge, and reboots its systems for combat against the warrior (most likely during sunset, on an old structure that resembles a pyramid or castle).
Other remix, even the Chris one, seem to have added more instruments, more things, to make it more epic and dynamic, while this one seem to have less, and focused on the melody.
It feel slower, more somber or reflective, even a bit nostalgic.
It still have a air of determination, but more slow burn than rushing.
Clearly my preferred version.
Absolutely amazing, stands the test of time even thirteen years later. A lot has changed since I first listened to this song all those years ago, and I am happy to have been able to find this gem to reminisce a bit again. Thank you so much for keepin' this uploaded
This kind of gives me the feel of a battle scene in the Avatar series.
and neither does yours in the long run. Glad we came to an agreement.
This is a test to see wether or not epb can resist blowin his shitspeak all over the place again.
In the meantime, Robo did good, the song had me interested for quite a while. Geehan did awesome, as well.
And to further spite him, for the fun of it,
THE ORIGINAL WAS AS EQUALLY GOOD AS THE 2oz GOLD BAR YOU ARE FORCED TO LOOK AT TO REPLY TO US!
Wow, I just noticed how you managed to overlap the music from the first level into the main theme there at 2:12; it makes the music much more intense. Wonderful remix.
This remixx actually sounds kinda Homestucky
I could see it for a big animated flash of the runup to and fight with Tor, possibly including the sequence where Iji has to hack her own nanofield a couple times to manage a full pacifist run (though to make that work, one might have to rearrange a bit so the conversation with Ansaksie to get the Null Drive happens sooner, or Iji could just not get it in this hypothetical cinematic).
Guys, you can find Robotaki's download link simply if you download "iji tor remix".
(I'm shocked that this is the only remix of this song I can find)
Nonetheless, this remix is absolutely fantastic, giving the song a brand new, beautiful, orchestrated vibe while keeping its intense, dramatic feel--granted the scenario at hand.
You, the small yet strong player, take on the gigantic General Tor in an astonishing battle to the death as you alone are the world's one true hope.
Epic. Simply, epic....
Wow this song is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!
To be honest, this seems like an ending theme of sorts
If the main riff would have been repeated louder several more times this would have been perfect, as it is I can here the chords better than in the original. Both are awesome pieces of work.
Wow this is very good. Seems like you went with the flow of the song instead of trying to make something different with it. I like it ^^
It is a remix, so there's going to be a totally different feel to it. I liked it, too. Makes me think of Halo's style of music
I have to say. This is very, very impressive and well done. Makes me wish there was a sequel to Iji in the first place!
@dmkrodan Hey thanks man! I think I still have this old bugger on my computer somewhere if you still want the link :)
Why has evilpandabear chosen to continue trolling this one video for so long?
I think one of the creators (not Daniel Remar, one of the musicians) actually said that he liked this remix.
What did that have to do with anything?
I would LOVE a high quality MP3 of this mang. Shit if you remixed the whole damned soundtrack id buy it. good work bro. 5 stars.subbing forthis.
Original's good for the game, IMHO. This remix, however, is good for either a boss rush, strategy vid, or a pacifist story run.
Each version has its pluses and minuses. Nothing to get worked up about.
Pretty good. Though i still prefer the original (guitars = win..to me anyways). It's probably just me, but I couldn't imagine this being played with the final boss. Though for a final level theme, it works great. ^^;
So amazing, I don't know even anything to say how.
Everyone's got thier opinion..if you think it's better, all the better for ya. I still like the original better. Just cause i dont think its amazing doesnt mean i said it sucked, cause it doesn't suck.
Thank you TH-cam, thank you thank you for recommending this.
Sounds good, but doesn't quite have the "final boss" quality of the original. Still a great remix though.
Could suit an UT2004 DM level, I think. Especially Sector 3, basement level, with its technical stuff and plants. Do try asking some mapmakers. =)
yea i think this is the tor theme.... but how the hell you did THAT!!!! (5stars)
Agreed.
Good remix.
sounds like something from frozen synapse honestly
I like this. Please post a dl link.
@Robotaki man that would be much appreciated.
People have differnt musical tastes. Would you rather i be a screaming loon going: "OMFG THIS SUX HARD BALZ LOL!"
I like the remix, but i prefer the original.
sounds like FFX The decisive battle and summoned beast battle from dissidia fused together
sickk
I wouldn't call this a remix so much as an arrangement.
siiiiiiiiiiicckkkkkkk
disagree that the remix doesn't suck or...?
It's a good remix, but doesn't seem to quite fit the feel of the fight, y'know?
Either way, on the favorites list it goes.
Liked the remix, yet I think the original is better.
:)
Is there a download for this?
